LOVE LIFTED ME
Verse 1
I was sinking deep in sin, Far from
The peaceful shore, Very deeply stained
Within, sinking to rise no more;
But the Master of the sea heard my
Despairing cry, from the waters lifed me -
Now safe am I.
Chorus
Love lifed me, love lifed me,
When nothing else could help,
Love lifed me. Love lifed me,
Love lifed me, When nothing
Else could help, Love lifed me.
Verse 2
All my heart to Him I give, ever to Him
Ill cling in His blessed presence live,
Ever His praises sing. Love so mighty
And so true merits my souls best songs;
Faithful, loving service, too, To Him belongs.
Verse 3
Souls in danger, look above, Jesus
Completely saves; He will lif you
By His love out of the angry waves.
Hes the Master of the sea, billows His
Will obey; He your Savior wants to be
Be saved today.

LUKE 14:12-24 (NIV)
12
Then Jesus said to his host, When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your
friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatves, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they
may invite you back and so you will be repaid.
13
But when you give a banquet, invite the
poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind,
14
and you will be blessed. Although they cannot
repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrecton of the righteous.
15
When one of those at the table with him heard this, he said to Jesus, Blessed is the
one who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God.
16
Jesus replied: A certain man
was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests.
17
At the tme of the banquet he
sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, Come, for everything is now ready.
18
But they all alike began to make excuses. The frst said, I have just bought a feld, and
I must go and see it. Please excuse me.
19
Another said, I have just bought fve yoke of oxen, and Im on my way to try them
out. Please excuse me.
20
Stll another said, I just got married, so I cant come.
21
The
servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became
angry and ordered his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town
and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.
22
Sir, the servant said, what you ordered has been done, but there is stll room.
23
Then the master told his servant, Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel
them to come in, so that my house will be full.
24
I tell you, not one of those who were
invited will get a taste of my banquet.

Memorial Day Litany
Minister: For those who have given their lives for their country and whose graves we visit this Memorial Day
weekend, that they may rest in God's peace and that their sacrifce may inspire in us who live a commitment to the
ideals for which they perished, we pray to the Lord.
People: Lord, hear our prayer.
Minister: For our veterans, whom we have sent to far countries on our behalf, and who for us have ofen endured
fear, trauma, and sorrow that no human should have to face, that they may receive healing of their hearts and a
welcome home from their towns, their families, and their churches, we pray to the Lord.
People: Lord, hear our prayer.
Minister: For our men and women serving under orders this day, especially those who may be in situatons of
danger or captvity, that they may be inspired by the ideal of duty, may conduct themselves with honor, may love
country second only to God, and may receive strength equal to every challenge they face, we pray to the Lord.
People: Lord, hear our prayer.
Minister: For families of men and women now on actve duty, families of veterans, civilian families who have
sufered in tme of war, and especially those families whose tables will always have an empty chair, we pray to the
Lord.
People: Lord, hear our prayer.
Minister: For our leaders, who have the power to promote peace and justce or to extnguish life itself from our
planet, that any and all decisions relatng to the use of armed forces may be preceded by prayer and accompanied
by agony, we pray to the Lord.
People: Lord, hear our prayer.
Minister: For ourselves, our congregaton and pastor and all persons of faith, that recognizing the expression in
works which must result from an experience of faith, we may be builders of community as well as seekers of
salvaton, we may seek outer peace as well as inner harmony, and justce for our world as well as fairness for
ourselves, to the end that the dwelling of God may be with us, and we shall be God's people, that the former things
pass away and war shall be no more, we pray to the Lord.
All: Amen.

Family,
Thank God for you. You are so close to
reaching our goal of $5 million . . . As of May
21
st
, we are just short of 95% of our goal, or
$4,724,719! 1,241 members/families
have made that possible.
Also, as of May 21
st
, 2,342 members have opted-
in. That means that if just the remaining 1,101
members who have already opted-in pledged
just $20 a month for the next 3 years, we would
easily exceed our goal.
God is doing a great work through the members
of Trinity United Church of Christ!

began this good work.

NEWS YOU CAN USE: GET COVERED ILLINOIS
Did you miss the Healthcare Enrollment deadline? The 2014 Open Enrollment Period for Healthcare.gov
has ofcially ended as of March 31
st
. It will re-open November 15, 2014 for coverage beginning in 2015.
Medicaid-eligible Illinoisans can enroll in Medicaid at any tme. And there are some specifc situatons that
trigger Special Enrollment Periods, listed on the next page, in which you can stll enroll for 2014.
What if I havent heard anything since March 31
st
? If healthcare.gov deemed you eligible for Medicaid,
the informaton was supposed to be sent to the state Medicaid department. In some cases, the
informaton did not come through, and in others, there is simply a delay at the Department of Human
Services. Individuals in this situaton should call DHS at 800-843-6154 and, following the automated
prompts, dial (1), then (1), then (4), then (3), then (1) to check if their applicaton is in the states system
for processing. If not, you can apply for Medicaid directly at www.abe.illinois.gov.
Can I Appeal? If you dont appear to qualify for a special enrollment period, or if you apply and the
Marketplace says you dont qualify for either coverage or premium tax credits, you can appeal a decision
to deny you a special enrollment period.
Situatons that allow enrollment afer March 31
st
:
1. If you and/or your family are eligible for Medicaid, you can enroll anytme. Medicaid has no deadline for
enrollment.
2. Small business owners with at least 2 non-family Full Time Employees can enroll through the SHOP
Marketplace at anytme.
3. If, due to recent qualifying life events, you are eligible for a Special Enrollment Period [SEP]. Qualifying
events include: change in family size, certain income changes, involuntarily losing other health insurance,
moving across state lines, gaining citzenship, leaving incarceraton, or these exceptonal cases:
Delayed Medicaid Denials: If you applied during open enrollment, but were found ineligible for
