First National Community Bank
The bank promoted eight staff members.
Mary Ann Gardner, CRCM,
earned a promotion to senior vice president, compliance manager, where she will develop,
implement and administrate the bank's Compliance, CRA and BSA programs. Mrs. Gardner joined
the bank in 1976, serving in various leadership positions in the loan and compliance departments.
Since 2011, she served as vice president, compliance officer. Mrs. Gardner graduated from Dunmore
High School and the American Banking Association National Compliance School and Graduate
School of Compliance Risk Management. She resides in Moscow with her husband, David. They have
two children, David and Alexander.
Ronald S. Honick Jr., CPA,
CIA, earned a promotion to senior vice president, audit manager, where he will oversee the bank's
audit department. Before joining the bank in 2009, Mr. Honick served as financial analyst in the
technical accounting department of a global manufacturing company, where he evaluated the impact
of accounting pronouncements, and was responsible for various aspects of the company's SEC
filings. From 1999 to 2008, Mr. Honick served as a public accountant, focused in the banking and
small business sectors. He graduated from Old Forge High School and Wilkes University with a
bachelor's degree in accounting. Mr. Honick lives in Old Forge with his wife, Jennifer. He has four
children, Carson, Gavin, Rhys and Justin.
Freedom Credit Union
After 28 years as the president and CEO of the credit union and 41 years working in the credit union
industry, Lee T. MacMinn will retire in July. Mr. MacMinn became president and CEO of the credit
union in 1986, when it had $18 million in assets and a deficit in undivided earnings. Today, the
credit union serves more than 62,000 members and has $650 million in assets. Mr. MacMinn's
accomplishments include the 1999 merger between Educational Credit Union and the Freedom
Federal Credit Union. Mr. MacMinn also earned the 2001 Pennsylvania Credit Union Professional of
the Year honors and the 2010 Brownie Award for the Philadelphia Chapter of Credit Unions. Upon
Mr. MacMinn's retirement in early July, John King, the current executive vice president and chief
operating officer, will take over as the credit union's president and CEO.

Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce
Kristine Kelley, M.D., co-director of Breast Care Center of Delta Medix P.C., served as the luncheon
guest speaker of the Greater Scranton Women's Network series of "Strong Women Leading Today,"
sponsored by Peoples Security Bank & Trust, on May 14 at Glen Oak Country Club, Clarks Summit.
Dr. Kelley provided attendees with insight on her position and experience at Delta Medix and the
importance of health services and quality of care.

Judicial Court Board of Pennsylvania
Harold E. Flack II earned an appointment to the 12-member board April 17. A member of the
Republican Party, Mr. Flack's four-year term ends April 17, 2018. Mr. Flack served as the president
of Diamond Manufacturing Co. and co-owner of Diamond Consolidated Industries for more than 30
years. He also served as president of Exeter Architectural Products of Wyoming and Palm City, Fla.
A graduate of Wyoming Seminary, class of 1977, Mr. Flack earned a bachelor's degree from New
England College in 1981. He has six U.S. patents relating to security and storm protection products.
In 2001, Mr. Flack and his family earned Outstanding Philanthropists of the Year honors from the
Association of Fundraising Professionals. He and his wife, Jean, reside in Dallas, and have four adult
children.
King's College
David Kyle Johnson, Ph.D.,
associate professor of philosophy at the college, developed a course, titled "Exploring Metaphysics,"
for the Teaching Company's "The Great Courses" series, which offers more than 450 titles from
professors and experts in the arts, science, literature, self-improvement, history, music, philosophy,
theology, economics, mathematics, business, professional advancement, personal growth and high
school curriculum. Based on the metaphysics course Dr. Johnson teaches at King's, "Exploring
Metaphysics" dives into deep questions about the nature of people and reality.
Misericordia University
The Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society inducted 15 adult learners at the university during
a brunch and induction ceremony in Sandy and Marlene Insalaco Hall on the university campus. The
Alpha Sigma Lambda is the honor society for continuing education students that aims to recognize
the special achievements of adults who accomplish academic excellence, while facing competing
interests of home and work. The 15 students include Rosalie Allan-Fufaro, professional studies;
Cheryl Bednar, nursing; Sandra Delgado, social work; Jennifer Divirgilio, nursing; Darren Frasier,
sport management; Damon Hamilton, psychology; Diane Johnson, nursing; Angela Lonzetta,
marketing; Lisa Matriccino, English; Elizabeth Parsons, business administration; Gayle Sekel,
English; Melissa Sonday, nursing; Maria Williamson, history; Kelli Wincek, medical imaging; and
Joan Yamrick, information technology.

Jennifer Stalica and Joe Wascavage will serve as sales and leasing product specialists.
Mrs. Stalica is fully trained in all technology of Lexus vehicles, and joined MotorWorld Lexus in
February. She has experience in sales in the interior design and home furnishings industry. Mrs.
Stalica is married with three children.
Mr. Wascavage is also fully trained in all technology of Lexus vehicles. He brings 25 years of
auto/truck sales experience to MotorWorld Lexus. Mr. Wascavage is a longtime resident of Kingston
with his wife of 40 years, Sally, and has six children and nine grandchildren.

Jack Dempsey will serve as
a partner at the firm, where he focuses his litigation practice on commercial disputes, securities,
financial services and insurance coverage litigation and white collar criminal defense. Mr. Dempsey
is a 1998 graduate of Princeton University, and earned his law degree, with honors, from the
Villanova University School of Law in 2001. He spent his first six years in practice with Drinker
Biddle & Reath LLP, based in Philadelphia, before joining MBK seven years ago. Mr. Dempsey
resides in Dunmore with his wife, Jennifer, and their three daughters.

Pocono Health System
The Pocono Health Foundation and Pocono Health System/Pocono Medical Center had the
President's Dinner to honor the philanthropic efforts of many generous members of the community.
At the event, William B. and Barbara J. Cramer and Joseph Farda earned the "Presidential Award for
Philanthropy," which honors individuals in the greater Pocono community for demonstrating
commitment to philanthropy in supporting the vision and mission of Pocono Health System through
the support of the Pocono Health Foundation.

Joe Murray, MSPT, and
Nancy Jeffery, OTR/L, of the rehabilitation center attended an educational conference at the Hilton
Scranton Conference Center. The course, titled "Treating the Functionality of the Shoulder: Rotator
Cuff Dysfunction Including Primary and Secondary Impingement," focused on rotator cuff injuries
that occur at different points in the human lifespan, such as instability in teenagers and
degenerative joint disease in aging patients. Terry Trundle, PTA, ATC, LAT, owner and director of
the Athletic Rehab Institute and Sports Medicine in Atlanta, Ga., served as the course director.

Stephanie L. Tigue,
attorney at law, opened an office in Moosic. Ms. Tigue is the owner of Tigue Law Firm, located at
3738 Birney Ave., Moosic. Ms. Tigue dedicates her practice to family law services, including divorce,
custody, protection from abuse and criminal defense. Before starting her own practice, Ms. Tigue
worked as a Lackawanna County assistant district attorney for six and a half years, where she
specialized in prosecuting domestic violence and protection from abuse cases and white collar
crime. She earned her Juris Doctor and master's degree in business administration from the
University of Pittsburgh, and is admitted to practice in the middle and western districts of
Pennsylvania.
