In response to my recent conversation with your customer service

Unfortunately, I have a lot of debt and not enough funds to pay all my
creditors. So, I'll be able to negotiate and settle debt with a few creditors

monthly income and expenses. This will help you assess my financial

Dear Creditor,
Re: Account Number__________
After a long period of financial crisis, I'm finally in a position where I can
take care of my debt whose account number is given above. I would
appreciate in advance all efforts your company is willing to take in order to
help me resolve my debt problems. I'm sincerely trying to settle this debt and
pay it off faster.
The amount I would propose to pay towards full settlement of the debt is
$___________. Additionally, I would request you to take off any late
payment or charge-off on this account from my credit report.
The fact is, I'm currently negotiating debt with several creditors and I have

only those debts for which I can satisfy the terms and conditions as mutually
agreed between myself and my creditors.
I have already reached acceptable settlements with a couple of creditors and
I doubt whether I will have enough funds available till the end of this month.
However, I'd like to regain my credit rating and if you can help me do so, I'd
be willing to offer you some more money as part of my settlement.
If you find the above terms and conditions acceptable, please sign this letter
of agreement and send me a copy. Upon receipt of this agreement, I shall

This letter is in response to your call/letter/credit report entry on [date] for

I'd like to notify that I'm not acknowledging or accepting that I owe this

Dear Collection Manager,
Re: Account Number__________
This is to inform you that I've recently pulled my credit report and noticed
that there's a collection from your agency on my credit report. I have never
been notified of this collection. However, this letter does not imply that I
refuse to pay this debt. Rather, I would like to dispute your claim.
As per the FDCPA, I have the right to request a validation of this debt. I
request you to prove that I am indeed the party who is by contract obligated
to pay off this debt.
I hope you are aware of the fact that reporting any invalidated information to
major credit bureaus may constitute defamation of character, as negative
listing on credit report does not allow me to enjoy the benefits of good
credit. In addition, you must also be aware that until you validate this debt,
you can neither continue collection activities nor report this information on
my credit report. I'm sure your legal staff will agree that non-compliance
with this request is likely to put your company in serious legal trouble with
the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and other state/federal agencies.
Please attach copies of the following documents:
Agreement with your client that authorizes you to collect on this alleged
debt.
Agreement that bearssignature of the alleged debtor wherein he promises to
pay the creditor.
Complete payment history on this account so as to prove that the debt
amount you wish to collect is correct.

Dear Collection Manager,
Re: Account Number__________
I have sent you a written request to validate my debt having account
no.__________ on [date].
According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), I have the
right to claim a validation of this debt and you are obliged to provide me
with relevant documentation should you carry on your collection activities.
Unfortunately, I have received no reply from you except the confirmation
(by mail) that you did receive my request for validation of debt on [date].
However, the credit bureaus have already sent in their "verified" documents.
As per an opinion letter published by the FTC, reporting this collection is
considered as collection activity. I hereby notify that you are now in
violation of the FDCPA and subject to a fine of $1,000 (refer to the Act for
the updated value), which I can collect by filing a claim in the small claims
court. I intend to follow through with the claim if I don't hear back from you
within the next 15 calendar days.
This letter is to remind you that reportingsuch invalidated information to the
credit bureaus can result in defamation of character, as any negative marking
on my credit report would adversely affect my credit. I hope your legal staff
will agree that non-compliance with this request could lead your company to
serious legal trouble with the FTC and other state/federal agencies.

Dear Sir/Madam,
Re: List of creditors and Account numbers of each
I am writing to dispute inaccurate account status on my credit report. The
above referred accounts are listed as "bankruptcy" whereas they should have
been shown in the credit report as "charge-off", "past due" and "delinquent"
respectively. Suchincorrect listing have lowered my credit score and
prevented me from buying a home of my own.
I have attached a copy of my bankruptcy discharge order as proof. Please
take a note of the dates and update the account status at the earliest.

Dear Sir/Madam,
This letter is a formal notice that you have failed to respond to my dispute
letter dated __________. I have sent the initial letter via registered mail and
enclosed a copy of the return receipt that you've signed on __________.
As per Federal Law, you are expected to respond within 30 days. However,
it's been over 30 days you have received my dispute letter. You must be
aware that failure to comply with this is an act of violation of the Fair Credit
Reporting Act and thus, it may be investigated by the FTC.
I am also aware that you may have misplaced my letters or have failed to
respond to my letter because of an oversight as you already receive high
volume of dispute letters on a daily basis. However, I'm sure you would like
to handle this issue asap and help me out. I have attached a copy of my
original request and proof of the inaccurate item placed on my credit report.
Please verify the information and send me your response at the earliest.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I have sent you a letter requesting you to remove inaccurate information
from my credit report. But I find that the disputed item still remains. So, I
am sending you this formal notice asking you to describe the procedure
adopted to verify this claim. I would also like to know about the business
names, addresses and phone numbers of those who have beencontacted for
the process. This is my right according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
It is really disappointing to find a credit bureau not following the procedures
and not maintaining the accuracy norms. I would request you to comply with
the laws and furnish me the information I've asked for within a period of 15
days.
Through this letter, I am resubmitting my request to make the reinvestigation
and verification processes faster.
(State the reasons for disputing this negative mark).
