LEMBARAN TINGGI SDN. BHD.
This factory is the manufacturer of Interlocking Bricks, which is involved in project and
construction management services for Factory, Dwelling House, Bird Nest House, Buildings,
Fences and Oil Tank.
The red clay is ground by blender machine to fine particle (Fig.1 & Fig.2). The fine
red clay is mixed with sand, cement and water with proportion of 60%, 25%, 10% & 5%
respectively in the cylindrical mixer (Fig.3 & Fig.4 & Fig.5). Then the mixed material is sent
to the mould-machine by the truck-lift (Fig.6).

The worker in charge makes the mould greasy to let bricks take out easily (Fig.7 &
Fig.8). The pressure applied to mixer in the mould to develop into brick is 25 Ton/mm
2
and
the strength on a brick is 10 N/mm
2
(Fig.7, Fig.8, Fig.9, Fig.10, Fig.11, Fig.12, Fig.13 &
Fig.14).

The height of each brick is measured and if it is not appropriate, the brick must be
squashed and crushed to be able to be used again (Fig.15). As the Fig.16 and Fig.17 show,
this factory produce 2 types of bricks; one kind is used alone or with mortar and/or still bar
(Fig.16), and the other type is used alone or with concrete or reinforced concrete (Fig.17).
250 bricks are manufactured per machine daily (Fig.18, Fig.19 & Fig.20).

These fresh bricks must be remained in fresh air for 10 days without any heat to be
able to be ready for masonry construction. The mould-machine must be serviced after
producing 100,000 bricks. The price of each kind of brick is illustrated in Fig.21 & Fig.22.

Now, the factory is involved in a retaining wall project; thus, the bricks will be sent to
the Industrial Building System (IBS) to be tested. The minimum applied compressive
strength is 15 Ton/mm
2
, however 30 Ton/mm
2
strength is functioned as point load on
3m3m fixed-both-ended wall and 200 kN/mm
2
strength is affected on a column like Fig.23
with 100 ft. height and 15 inch15 inch.

These kind of bricks can be used for high-rise building of 3-level and for higher than
3-level, the bricks must meet I-shape steel or Reinforced Concrete. The architectures can
order different design surfaces by different moulds (Fig.24, Fig.25 & Fig.26).

Advantages of Interlocking Bricks:
Its design is blended with elegant and nature aesthetic.
Plastering and painting are not required (3mm of skim coat if necessary).
Excellent heat and sound insulation.
It has more strength and it is more solid compared with conventional bricks.
Faster completion of projects compared with conventional methods (3-4 times).
Coast savings on labor cost, building materials and machinery.
Minimum material wastage thus les cleaning up at site.
Moisture absorption <4%.
