UPCOMI NG KEENAGER TRI P: Our next adventure will take place on Wednesday, June 25. On that day, we will be traveling to New Concord to visit the National Road Zane Grey Museum and the John Glenn Home. From there, we will motor on to Cambridge for lunch and a visit to the Hopalong Cassidy Museum, which is housed in the Scotts Antique Mall. Our departure time is 8:00 AM. The cost for admission and travel is $13.00 per person. Lunch will be on your own. A sign-up sheet is posted. I will appreciate your payment when you sign up. THOUGHTS FROM BRAD
I want to thank all who assisted in the planning of our Unleashed for the Unreached weekend. Our team consisted of: Kim Seevers, Ray & Mary Alice Coats, Trina Barrell, Mitch Shell, Bob & Natalie Neff, Mark & Samantha Hendricks & family, and Janet Brown. Your faithfulness in prayer and service were greatly appreciated. I also want to thank Jeff & Christine Crook, Nathan Crook, Bob Neff and Jean Azbell for preparing the prayer breakfast. The meal was wonderful! I also thank my wife Kim, who planned our Prayer Walk this past weekend for our families to enjoy.
If you did not participate in either event over the weekend, it is truly your loss. Ray Linn & Keith Dimbath did an excellent job as our guest speakers. They are wonderful servants of God.
I want to thank our church partners in ministry who participated in this event and who committed to praying daily for the lost people groups and tribes of this world. We had a total of 34 countries and/or tribes chosen by you. I cant wait to see how God answers our prayers. Below are a few suggestions to assist you with your daily commitment.
1) Pray daily for your tribe (1 Timothy 2:1-4). 2) Pray daily that God sends messengers to your tribe or people group (Luke 10:12). 3) Pray for doors to open in your country (Colossians 4:2-4). 4) Pray for boldness (Ephesians 6:18-20) that God might help you share your faith. 5) Pray that other churches may adopt Unreached people groups. 6) Pray that God might use you to go to the mission field (Mt. 28:19-20). 7) Pray that God would help all the countries of His world, to be open to Jesus and His followers because THE DAY is coming (Philippians 2:9-11).
In His Service, Brad Seevers Next Sunday, June 1, we will recognize our 2014 graduates at our worship service.

Core Values...
Values central to the life, mission and vision of Fifth Avenue Church of Christ are:
Christ-Centered Worship We make it a priority every Sunday to celebrate Jesus through our music. (Romans 11:36-12:1-2). We focus on Jesus through grace- based preaching and teaching & understand the Bible is our authority (2 Timothy 3:16).
Church Health and Biblical Balance Church health becomes reality when God's people seek harmony & live consistently. We expect every member to protect the unity of Christ's Church. (Romans 12:16; 1 Peter 3:8)
Global Evangelism We are constant to our founding call to worldwide evangelism, proclaiming to all that Jesus Christ is the Savior, Healer, and Soon- Coming King (Acts 20:27).
Fellowship and Ministry After people begin their journey with Jesus, we will equip them to find a ministry based upon their strengths. We want everyone to serve in some capacity. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27) We also want His church to be the living evidence of His love and power to the world.
Discipleship We do not want you to "get religion" here at Fifth Avenue Church of Christ in Lancaster. We are all about teaching you that Jesus seeks a daily relationship with Him through a life of obedience. In other words, we want to see the things you are taught actually change your lifestyle & your daily decisions.
Social Conscience We place high value on the sanctity of human life, of Biblical marriage and morality, and we welcome ethnic diversity (Isaiah 56:7; Philippians 2:15-16).
________________________________________________ How Can I Respond Today? At FACC we look to the Bible for guidance on all issues. We believe that Gods Word is clear concerning what a person must do to become a Christian. Trust that Jesus can bring you to salvation. Turn (repent) from the sin in your life. Confess your desire to make Jesus the Lord of your life. Be baptized (immersed) in water for the forgiveness of sins and to receive the Holy Spirit into your life. To make this life decision for Christ, we ask that you come forward during our commitment song at the conclusion of the Sunday message. Baptized believers are welcome to become members at FACC by coming forward on Sunday morning or by seeing our Senior Minister to discuss this further. We ask that you complete a series of Curious classes to help you better understand what you are committing to as a member. If you would like to take a Curious class, please indicate this on your Silent Roll Call Card. OUR PURPOSE
WE EXIST TO
Exalt Gods Greatness; Evangelize Gods Work Equip Gods People Express Gods Love through Jesus Christ
OUR MISSION To Love God and Love People! Library Spotlight
Battle for Cannibal Island, book #8 in the Focus on the Familys The Imagination Station series is a book for young readers ages 7 and up.
Join cousins Patrick and Beth in the Imagination Station as they travel to Fiji in the 1850s. Patrick hopes its for a tropical vacation instead he finds out that cannibals are alive and well on the islands. In truth, the cannibals are burning down every Christian village they can find. When Patrick and a sailor named Nettleton get knocked overboard, the cousins are separated. Patrick must fend off escaped convicts and a terrible storm even worse, he finds the cannibal king without even trying! Meanwhile, Beth follows missionary James Calvert as he searches for Patrick. But Calverts greater mission is to find the king of the cannibals and tell him about the Bible. Is Calvert leading Beth away from danger or straight toward it? Unspoken (written about Bathsheba) by Francine Rivers is in our adult library. The scandalous affair of David and Bathsheba did not end in one night. Unspoken is the story of one womans journey from innocence to despair and of the God who restored her. To many, her name means seduction and sin. Yet God called Bathsheba His own, worthy of the legacy of His Son.
Stop by the church library and check out a good book! If you have any questions about the library, contact Delores Payne.
