nia nitrogen, nitrite, nitrate and pH were
measured weekly.
Feeds were prepared by mixing the dry
ingredients with a binder and water, extruded
through a meat grinder and afterwards dried
in a 45oC oven for 24 hours. The resulting
pellets had a diameter of 2.5mm and were
stable up to 24 hours in water.
