Roger has accumulated wealth of insights in the Philippines
and Asian energy sectors from his current position and from
his past experience in serving the government for four years
as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Ofcer of
the Government Owned and Controlled Corporation (GOCC)
PNOC Renewables Corporation and from his 20 years with the
different Shell Group of Companies in Cambodia, Colombia and
Indonesia.
He will be providing insights on how to overcome the challenges
facing the local and global industry players in years to come. He
will also highlight the industry development and identifying the
potential partnerships across the generation, transmission and
distribution sectors.
A former ofcer of the ruling Liberal Party, Maria Gladys Cruz-Sta.
Rita is the NAPOCORs rst female president who leads the semi-
government power company since its foundation in 1936. Now in
the business of missionary electrication that provides electricity
to off-grid remote areas, NAPOCOR is forming investment
strategies and embracing innovations to ensure sustainable
electric services.
Maria will share NAPOCORs insights on how to pursue and
expand its missionary function in providing electricity services
to over households and businesses nationwide. She will also
shed light on how to over the challenges and opportunities of
using renewable energy to improve the electric services to non-
electried isolated areas.
Under Pedros chairmanship at NREB, the FIT Rules, FIT
Rates, FIT Eligibility Guidelines, and Net Metering Guidelines
were nalised and approved. Pedro is also lawyer, professional
industrial engineer, economist and fellow of the Institute of
Corporate Directors.
Pedro will be evaluating the potentials of renewable development
in the Philippines, address the market responses to FIT and other
governments policies to facilitate the renewable agenda. He will
also share with industry players on how to best prepare for their
investment and participation in the Philippines renewable energy
market.

Ivanna is the First Vice President and Head of Regulatory
Management at the Manila Electric Company (MERALCO).
She provides oversight in developing the companys regulatory
agenda, undertaking policy research and advocacy initiatives,
and ensuring regulatory compliance. She supervises the following
key areas in the company: rates and pricing, performance-based
regulation, market monitoring and forecasting, and franchise and
industry restructuring studies.
Join Ivanna in her roundtable discussion on the pricing strategies
for utilities to respond to changing energy market conditions of
demand and supply. As a Moderator, she will share her insights

Filipino to become the head of the IFC Philippines ofce. Prior to
joining IFC, he was the Chief Financial Ofcer and Treasurer of the
Philippine International Air Terminals Company based in Manila.
He will be sharing his perspectives on what makes an energy
project bankable, advising alternative funding solutions for
energy projects and evaluating nance strategies for major power
companies and growing SMEs.

Ernesto B. Pantangco is a Executive Vice President (EVP) &
Director of Energy Development Corporation. He is an EVP of
First Gen Corp., and President and CEO of First Private Power
Corporation and Bauang Private Power Corporation. He was
the President of the Philippine Independent Power Producers
Association for the last 11 years and is currently a Director. He
is also Vice-Chairman of the National Renewable Energy Board.
He will participate in a panel discussion on whether the
environmental concerns and renewables remain the new frontier
for IPPs in the Philippines. He will also discuss the strategies for
IPPs to overcome the challenges of gaining market share in the
face of stiff competition from government-linked industry players.
