OK-TC Flotation Machines Latest Result of
The design of the OK-TC Flotation Machines offers more benefits.
Fast froth removal
Internal, high capacity launders are
used to minimize froth transport
distance.
Flexible configuration of
a flotation bank
The Unit Reactor performance of
the TankCell allows easy and
flexible flotation duty configur-
ation cell by cell.
Easy performance control
The Unit Reactor performs excel-
lently with only simple level and
air control and provides a stable
operating base on which to build
more sophisticated process con-
trol strategies.
Reduced plant downtime
and eliminated production
risks
Individual cells in a bank may be
bypassed for maintenance.
Versatile on-line process
optimization
Parameters may be changed cell
by cell without disturbing per-
formance up or down stream.
TankCell
Controlled flotation air flow
An external blower is standard on
OK flotation machines to ensure
a well controlled air flow.
Optimum size of air bubbles
The OK mechanism produces the
right size of bubble from the
supplied air regardless of the
aeration rate.
Individual flow mixing and
air dispersion parameters
The parameters may be selected
individually by choosing the Free-
Flow or Multi-Mix mechanism.
Low power draw
Less than 1 kW/m
3
is typical for
large OK and OK-TC flotation
machines.
OK-TC Flotation Machines
incorporate all the proven
features of conventional
OK flotation machines.
Uniform conditions for
slurry mixing
The cylindrical TankCell design
provides for operation as an ideal
mixer maximizing the amount of
collisions between the mineral
particles and air bubbles and mini-
mizing short-circuiting.
Flexible layout
The cylindrical tank allows a flexible
layout design since all directions
are equal with regard to the feed
and discharge points.
Effective frothbed control
Froth cones and internal launders
provide effective froth surface
area control.
