Farewell Friends
On May 18 we bid our
seniors Josh Jones 14 and
Ian Baumgardner 14
goodbye as they exit
through the Senior Arch
and leave behind a rich
and eventful four years at
Wabash College. Both
have made invaluable
contributions to help our
fraternity get to the level it
is currently.
Ian made several large
strides during his time
here, including his rise to
President of both Theta
Delta Chi and the Sphinx
Club. Ian also began the
process of new housing for
our fraternity during his
presidency at Theta Delt.
As for Josh, he single-
handedly turned around
the Scholarship Chair
position in terms of
responsibility for the
house, and he has given
our fraternity several great
ideas over the years, one
of which being the
Mothers and Brothers
Brunch (which I will
elaborate on later).
These two brothers will be
sorely missed this fall
semester, and we wish
them the best of luck in
their future endeavors.

Pancakes!
April (being the last full
month of the semester) is
loaded with great
activities, such as formal
and Pan-Hel. However,
April is also the month in
which Theta Delta Chi
charges all across the
world promote autism
awareness through
Autism Speaks, a program
developed to change the
futures of those diagnosed
with autistic disorders.
On April 22, we painted
the Senior Bench blue for
Autism, and that night we
sponsored a pancake
dinner at the Sparks
Center for the Wabash
community.

Formal at the Sheraton
This spring, Theta Delta
Chi held formal at the
Sheraton Hotel in
Indianapolis. A few
brothers (including
myself) were lucky
enough to experience the
newly renovated suites the
Sheraton offered us for no
extra charge. Also, thank
you Brett Birch 12 for
supervising us and
keeping us all under
control.

Burns 15 Headed for
China
JD Burns 15 has been
accepted into his summer
program in China. He
leaves in June, and he will
be teaching English as a
second language to
Chinese high school
students. Congrats
Brother Burns!

Theta Delt Sphinx
Officers
Congratulations to Corey
Egler 15 for being named
Sphinx Club Vice
President! Also, the
recently initiated Graham
Redweik 16 was named as
Rush Chairman for the
Sphinx Club.

Cheers for Classics
Brothers Daniel Miller 17,
Dylan Mayer 17, Steven
Peters 16, Brent Poling
16, James Fritz 16, and
Josh Jones 14 all took part
in the Wabash Classics
Societys first annual
suovetaurilia, a sacred
Greek ceremony involving
the sacrifice and feasting
of a pig, sheep, and bull.
Josh and Daniel made
food for the festival, and
Dylan helped cook the
meat. It was a great time
to socialize with professors
and students alike as well
as get a great view of the
baseball game.

Mothers and Brothers
Brunch
The brothers of Theta Delta
Chi held their first Mothers
and Brother Brunch in which
the brothers all invited their
parents to have brunch at the
house. Brothers James Fritz
16, JD Burns 15, Graham
Redweik 16, and Steven
Peters 16 cooked while the
rest of the house made
preparations for our guests. It
was a good initial experience
for this event, and we look
forward to further
progressing this event in the
future.

Plans after Graduation
Ian Baumgarder 14 has
already been accepted to
work as an analytical
chemist at Procter and
Gamble. Josh Jones 14
plans to go to the Police
Academy with aspirations
of becoming a state
trooper.
