Dear Maam Angel,

After careful thought and consideration I have concluded that my core

values are not aligned with the dysfunctional organizational culture at
NCCC. It is time to move on to maintain my health, sanity, and overall
happiness.
his letter is to officially inform you that I resign from my position as
raining and Development !pecialist, effective "# days from now. his
letter also serves as my e$it interview.
During my fourth and final interview for the position, you as%ed me what I
needed to &e successful. I replied, 'clear direction and strong leadership.(
I received neither.
)riginally, I &elieved the &iggest challenge at NCCC would stem from a lac%
of systems. *owever, I +uic%ly realized that inflated egos, office politics and
administrative incompetence would prove to &e &igger o&stacles. hese
dynamics are not conducive to innovation and productivity.
Due to am&iguous policies and procedures and the inconsistent application
and enforcement of &oth, I was deprived of fair and e+uita&le treatment. I
did not receive fair pay for the wor% I was held accounta&le for, even after
three re+uests for reevaluation of the ,o& title and description against what
was actually re+uired out of the position. Additionally, I have &een
reprimanded for fa&ricated, unsu&stantiated claims regarding my
performance and &ehavior. I hardly thin% that a statement from one person
constitutes a fair and thorough investigation.
-ortunately for me, I %now my worth and I am very well aware of the value
I &ring to a team. I refuse to settle for any form of disrespect or
maltreatment, particularly from individuals whose only credi&ility resides in
their ,o& title as opposed to demonstrated e$cellence and leadership.
Im positive my e$perience isnt an isolated one. he turnover rates and lac%
of employee engagement and satisfaction are further evidence of NCCCs
ina&ility to attract, develop and retain talent.
I had a goal to &rand NCCC as an employer of choice in our community.
.nfortunately, it &ecame a&undantly clear to me that I would &e out of
integrity to attempt to attract employees to such a to$ic and dysfunctional
wor% place. I refuse to convince professionals to wor% for a /# year old
company that operates li%e a start0up 'mom0n0pop shop( rampant with
nepotism and cronyism.
I could share more for the purposes of an 'e$it interview( &ut I have little
faith that information gathered would &e compiled to formulate a retention
strategy.
I am returning my company credit card, fo&, 1erizon 'Mi-i( and office %ey
with this letter.
2egards,
