Master Study-FINAL

You will select a master artist from the list below. You will do some research about your
artist, create an informational slideshow, and recreate your favorite work from your
selected artist.

Research

-Artists style (movement of art he or she practices and denition)
example: Abstract Art: Abstract art indicates a departure from reality in deception of
imagery in art. Abstract art uses form, color, and line to create a composition which may
simplify an object or idea.
-Show 3 examples of this artists work, the title, and year it was created (including the
work that you are basing your nal project on)
-Write one paragraph as to why you selected this artist.
-What you like or dislike about his or her work.
-Does it inspire you?
-Does it excite you?
-Does it confuse you?
-Does it disturb you?
- Self Evaluation of your work.
Final Project
-After you have selected your artist, you are to pick a favorite work of that artist. You will
recreate that piece of art or recreate it in your own original way. The nal piece will be
included in your slideshow or you will display this at the time of your presentation.
-If you have selected a sculptural piece, you may draw or paint this. We will not be
using clay.
Presentations May 30-June 2
-All students will present (show their slideshow and show nal project).
