L ZESC O L imited in its annual budget has set aside funds toward the cost of improvement of
Power Supply inMungwi and Mpika Districts, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of
this financing topayments under this C ontract. .
2. ZESC O now invites scaled bids fromeligible and qualified bidders for tile Improvement of
Power Supply inMungwi and MpikaDistricts.
3. Bidding will be conducted through the Open National Bidding ( ONB) procedures specified
in the Public Procurement Act of 2008 and the Public Procurement Regulations of 201.1..

Documents. Foreign bidders are required to partner with citizen or local bidders. The
term citizen or local bidder is defined inthe Public Procurement Act No. 12 of 2008.

6. Qualification requirements include but are not limited tothe following:
( i) Bidders must have annual revenue of more than U SDSOOMillion and have acash flow of
more than U SD20Million. Failure to subplit this information shall render the bidder
non- responsive; and.
( ii) Bidders must submit audited [mandai s~tements for the l~t Three ( 03) years ( 2010 to2012)
todemonstrate the current soundness of the bidder's financial position. Failure tosubmit this
information shall render the bidder non- responsive.
7. A C omplete set of Bidding Documents inEnglish may be purchased by interested bidders onthe
submission of awritten application tothe address below and uponpayment of a nonrefundable fee
of K l,OOO.OOor its equivalent inany freely convertible currency ..The method of payment will be .
