Review Game

Instructions: The class will be divided into two teams. Each team will be assigned to sit on a specified
side of the room. On the Smart Board will be a game board divided into 4 categories: Legislative Branch,
Executive Branch, Judicial Branch, and Miscellaneous. Underneath each category will be designated
point values of 25, 50, 75, and 100 so that each category has one of each. Each designated point value
will have a corresponding question relating to that category. I will flip a coin to decide which team goes
first. First team up will choose a category and number. I will ask them the question and the team will
have 30 seconds to respond. If they are correct they earn the points, if not the other team has 10
seconds to steal. Whether the first team was right or wrong, the next question goes to the opposite
team. The game will continue like this until there are no questions left. Note: each person on the team
must answer and no one is allowed to answer twice until everyone has answered at least once. Each
team will receive one pass and one help. When a pass is used, the question asked will be passed and
the team will be assigned a new question. When a help is used, the person answering the question may
ask their teammates for help. After all the questions are done, the game board will be flipped over and
the point values will be doubled. The game will continue until all the questions have been asked or time
has run out. The team with the most points at the end of the game will be declared champions of the
class and receive 2 extra credit points on the test. The losing team will receive 1 point if the game is
decided by 20 points or less, otherwise no extra credit will be awarded to them.
