Institute of Life Science (ILS) Affiliate Scheme
Thank you for the recent application which we have now considered. I am pleased to
invite Glamorgan Blended Learning Ltd to become an ILS Affiliate. This scheme
provides you with the following benefits:
1. Access to a desk in a shared suite for one day per month, to be booked through
ILS Reception. This includes telephone and IT links and reception support. Any
direct costs incurred will be recharged to the Affiliate.
2. Access to meeting and conference rooms, specialist facilities and equipment in
ILS.
3. Access to seminars and workshops organised by ILS.
4. Invitation to networking events providing the opportunity to collaborate and share
best practice with other Affiliates and Client Organisations.
5. Inclusion on the School of Medicine Bulletin distribution list.
6. Access to Business Support staff.
7. Car parking permits for campus will be available at the agreed rate of 150 pa.
Alternatively, car parking is available nearby at a daily rate.
(Access to services and facilities are subject to availability and reasonable use.)
The membership package is based on an initial 12 month period and membership runs
from the 1August2010. The annual membership fee is 250 (plus VAT) and an invoice
will be sent to you shortly.
We expect that you will wish to participate fully in the networking opportunities available
to ILS Affiliates and would encourage you to actively seek collaborative relationships
with ILS and other School of Medicine staff, and other Client Organisations. From time

to time. we will also ask you to provide us with some information which is needed for
monitoring purposes.
Please sign and return a copy of this letter indicating your acceptance of this offer but
do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
In order to activate the membership, we will need to see two forms of ID (one of which
must be a passport or driving licence) and a copy will be taken of the ID provided.
Alternatively, you can send in certified copies of this ID.
We look forward to welcoming you to the ILS family and we will also provide you with a
Handbook which I hope will be helpful.
