Pacific Oaks currently offers several pathways for completing coursework
required for either:
Preliminary Multiple Subject Teaching Credential
Preliminary Education Specialist Instruction Credential
Students may complete the course requirements for credentialing as a stand-
alone program or within the context of a joint degree/credential program.

California Preliminary
Education Specialist
Instruction Credential: 44
units of coursework and
fieldwork. Qualifies
candidates to teach
students with mild to
moderate disabilities in K-
12 settings and adults
through age 22.

Intern option is available for
candidates who meet the
following qualifications: Earned
B.A.; CBEST and CSET passed.
Additional requirements prior to
recommendation for an Intern
Credential: U.S. Constitution
Competency, Fingerprint
Clearance, and employment as a
teacher of record in a qualified
placement.
