1. About this software
This package includes the following software programs to use with an EPSON TM se
ries printer.
1) Windows Printer Driver
This driver is a Windows Printer Driver for the TM printer. This driver makes it
possible to print from a Windows application.
The driver operation has been verified with the following operating systems.
Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate (x64) SP1 English
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Standard (x64) English
This driver is not supported by Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP/Server2003 and Windows
Vista/Server 2008 32bit.
EPSON IM series PC or IBM compatible PC

Supported Printers
EPSON TM-T88IV(Serial and USB)
EPSON TM-U220A/B/D(Serial and USB)
The printer driver operates regardless of the pritner firmware version.

APD_403Ex64.zip : Printer Driver installer
3. How to Install this Printer Driver
Decompress APD_403Ex64.zip and run the generated APD_403Ex64.exe. Follow the ins
tructions on the display to install the printer driver.
4. Remarks
-Neither APD4 StatusAPI nor Devmode API can be used.
-COM and USB are the only printer interfaces supported.
-To use a printer connected to a PC with a 32-bit operating system from a PC wit
h a 64-bit operating system that uses a shared printer and the Remote Desktop co
nnection, install the printer driver for the 64-bit operating system on the PC w
ith the 64-bit operating system.
Follow the steps below to install the printer driver for the 64-bit operating sy
stem on a PC with a 64-bit operating system:
1) Install the separately provided APD4 for the 32-bit operating system on the P
C with the 32-bit operating system.
2) Make settings to designate the installed printer as a shared printer.
3) Decompress APD_403Ex64inf.zip, which is the printer driver for the 64-bit ope
rating system and comes with the 64-bit operating system, in a folder that is ac
cessible for the user. Then, follow the steps below to install the printer drive
r.
(1) Go to the [Printers] folder - the File menu - Server Properties - the Driver
s tab, and then click the Add button.
(2) Follow the displayed wizard. In the [Processor and Operating System Selectio
n] window, uncheck "Intel" in Environment, and check gx64h only.
(3) In the [Printer Driver Selection] window, click [Have Disk], decompress APD_
403Ex64inf.zip, and specify the generated TM-US.INF.
(4) From this step, follow the instructions of the installation wizard.
4) Connect the shared printer and the PC with the 64-bit operating system. The s
hared printer becomes ready to print.
5) When Using the Remote Desktop connection, the printer driver is installed on
the server automatically.
- With a PC with the 64-bit operating system, if you install the printer driver
by going to [Add a printer] and running APD_403Ex64inf.zip, the printer driver d
oes not operate correctly. Run APD_403Ex64.exe instead of APD_403Ex64inf.zip.
- When you use Remote Desktop Connection or the Terminal Services Client to conn
ect to another Windows-based computer from a computer that is running Windows XP
, your local printers may not be redirected. As a result, your local printers ar
e not available in the remote desktop or terminal services session.
