ong time resident of Princeville, Kauai Robert B. Heiman is
not only changing peoples skin, he is changing peoples
lives. He is the founder and developmental scientist
for Holocuren

and Epicuren Discovery

. Many of his
natural health and beauty products are found at resort spas and
natural product locations throughout the Hawaiian Islands
Roberts journey into health, wellness, and organic skin care
began in his early teens, when he was diagnosed with vitiligo, an
incurable skin pigmentation disorder made famous by Michael
Jackson. In a committed attempt to stop the loss of pigment in
his skin, Robert consulted with dermatologists and other experts
but was advised he would likely become albino within a decade.
Roberts devastating diagnosis fueled the beginning of an intense
passion with bio chemistry and skin-treatment advances.
Robert went on to earn a degree in Agricultural Engineering
at Cornells Agricultural Extension at Farmingdale, New York,
which provided his earliest schooling in the eld of bio-chemistry
and organic farming.
In 1979, Robert was mentored in skin care formulations by two
renowned World Cosmetic Association PhD Bio-Chemists, Dr.
James Baker and Dr. Abraham Minton who consecutively headed
the World Cosmetic Association during the 1970s. In 1982,
Epicuren Discovery

was born. During the next twenty years

Robert successfully reduced the advancement of his incurable
vitiligo using his core enzyme theory and developing an approach
called Aerobics of the Skin. His breakthrough formulations in
Enzyme Vitamin Protein Complexes lead Epicuren Discovery

to
be one of the most in demand skin care lines in todays multi-
billion dollar industry.
In the 1980s, while co-running Epicuren

, Robert was
diagnosed with a fatal stomach cancer and ultimately surrendered
to enjoying what doctors told him, would be the remaining years
of his life. In this state of acceptance and contentment, Robert
began an inspired recovery that would save his life and spark his
personal philosophy and book; SAIOE, The Gift of Knowing,
The Ultimate State of Being. The book focuses on Inner Sense,
Appreciation, Inspiration, Openness and our Eternal Essence.
The ve transcendent SAIOE phases Robert experienced during
his cancer battle eventually lead to his full recovery without the
use of chemotherapy or other traditional cancer treatments. For
the past 20 years, Robert has been leading annual Epicuren
and SAIOE seminars with such notable speakers, authors and
physicians as Depak Chopra (Ageless Body Timeless Mind),
Gary Schwartz (The Living Energy Universe), Dr. Mimi Guinari
(Director Cardiology Center for Integrative Medicine, Scripps
Institute, author of The Heart Speaks).

and worked tirelessly for years to keep my edgling
skin care company open. Once Epicuren began

triggered a reevaluation process for me. I changed
fundamentally and moved from obsession and
dogged determination into a more open, inspired,
SAIOE way of living. Now Im more tuned in to my
essential inner knowing which positively affects my
