Project Management
Project Planning
Our purpose of the project is to build a website for the student or visitor to use the facilities
provided in the Faculty of Engineering. Therefore, we are planning on giving them a review
of the facilities in each department that can be used. The step for them to make the
reservation is by filling an online form in our website and it will be linked through the
technician to let them know.

Gantt chart of the project management
Our project schedule is divided into 3 phases that involves website development phases,
information collection for website content and documentation.

For the facilities part, users can view the available facilities at civil engineering,
electronic engineering, chemical engineering, and mechanical and manufacturing
engineering department.

Users can view the department name as labeled in the figure. To view the
facilities provided in the department, users just have to click on the link .
There are many facilities provided such as laboratories, workshops and tutorials room.

It is also provided with the facility time table for the user to book according to the
availability. Beneath the time table the button to book is also provided for the user, thus
they should not worry to open into the new window.

The user can contact the technician in charge for tools operation consultation, check facilities
availability and so on via this page. The contact details of technicians available on this page
make it easier for user to contact them.

In the calender, user can know which date they can book for the facility. If the date in the
calender or the time is grey it means that the there are other user who booked it early then
them.

The E-service section is the most essential part of the website in which the user can select the
booking date and time of the facilities. As the particular details sent to a server, then the site
administrator will check for the overlapping time slot request in the databases and respond to
the user about the availability of the facilities booked.

This forum section is open for users to leave any comment and suggestion for further
development of this website for future use. In addition, they also can share they knowledge
here with other user about the apparatus used in the faculty. Users can do so through
