Subject: Progress report on Basic Car Maintenance for a 2000 automatic Honda Civic Car
Owner Manual
This letter describes the current and expected progress on our team instruction manual. The
purpose of our manual is to educate car owners on basic maintenance of their 2000 automatic
Honda Civic vehicle. This letter discusses each members contributions in gathering information
for the manual.
Changing a Tire
On April 10, Erik Ellis researched and collected specific step by step instructions for replacing a
flat tire with a spare provided in the trunk. Along with safety regulations on how to preform each
step in the correct way without injury. His information includes the beginning steps on removing
the spare tire from the trunk and what materials are provided.
By the next group meeting on April 16
th
, Erik will have further progress with the individual steps
ending with a rough draft of the assigned chapter which will include:
o Step by step instructions on changing a flat tire.
o Visual aids on each step on how to properly do each task.
o Safety procedures to follow throughout the process.
Jumping a Car
Since April 9
th
, I collected information on step by step instructions on jumping a car. My
information includes sited sources, materials needed, and a picture displaying what the
consumers jumper cables should look like.
By the groups next meeting date, April 16
th
, I should have completed a rough draft of her
assigned chapter which will include:
o Written step by step instructions on how to jump a car
o More pictures to display needed materials
o Outline of the rest of my chapter
Replacing a Headlight

Changing your Cars Oil
During the Month of April, Julio Gonzalez collected information on how to change the oil of a
2000 Honda civic. The information includes what materials are needed, and step by step
instructions to change the oil of the car.
By the next group meeting, Julio should have details on when to change the oil, and how to
check the oil level. These details will be put in the rough draft along with pictures to display the
procedures of changing the oil.
Conclusions
Our work on the Basic Car Maintenance for 2000 Honda Civic manual is progressing as planned.
We are all meeting twice a week to make sure this manual gets done on time. The rough draft is
