This software integrates the most important aspects of Spanish as a language: vocabulary,
writing, listening comprehension, grammar and pronunciation. It has different levels that could
be manage according to the learners ability/level. Also it permits the learners to have a direct
interaction with the material through collaboration with other members and activities that allow
learners to create and participate.
Product Type: This product is very interactive. It includes simulations, videos, visual activities, writing
activities, recognition of sounds (phonetics), etc.
Language(s): This specific software focuses only in Spanish.
Level : Beginning, intermediate, and advanced.
Activities : It implements learning by activities in multiple choice, fill-in exercises, sentence
pronunciation with microphone, dialog repetition, comprehension dialogue, patchwork, word
transformation, word order speaking, picture word association, and vocabulary learning.

1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Summary of features
This software has many helpful interactive tools for a language learner: phonetics exercises,
sentence pronunciation, comprehension dialogue, picture word association, word order speaking,
word transformation, and patchwork. All these features were the ones I could use in the free Demo
version. They were all interactive features that not just teach how to do it, but they actually get the
learners involve or hands on. Some of these features included sounds, videos, and interaction with
camera and microphone.
Background information
This software is a Rosetta Stone Company product. Rosettas products have been considered
some of the best in language learning.
Advertising claims, previous reviews
Is not a surprise that advertising describes this product as a miracle and marvelous. I looked up
some reviews, and they were positive reviews about this product. This product has a lot of pros,
but the only con that I found in every review was that it doesnt work for Mac.

Documentation: On-line help, printed manuals
In the website and in the software you can find the manuals of how to use it. In fact every
feature has instructions and is well guided for people that doesnt know or dont know how to
use the software.

I give it a 5 to the pedagogical features.
The software gives a clear route map for
students understanding and
Knowledge enhancement. It is divided by
colors and sub-divided in pictures. It is
really ease to be guided.

stereotypes):
I give it a 5 to the sociolinguistic accuracy.
This software not only teaches language,
but it enhances the importance of
learning the culture.
Use of Computer Capabilities (multimedia bells &
whistles):
I give it a 5, because this software is not
difficult to use and is organized in a way
that even beginners in computer use can
manage.
Ease of Use (student/teacher): I will give it a 5, because the demo was
pretty handy. I think this software is
mostly for students and not for teacher,
but I do believe that this could be a good
tool to implement material learning.
Overall Evaluation: I will give it a 4, because this product
seems very helpful and handy, but the
price is really high.
Value for Money I will give it a 3, because this software is a
little too expensive. I know it has a lot of
features and good stuff but I dont know
if parents will be happy to spend $400 for
Macs and $300 for Pcs.
