New Employee Orientation

LEDs Human Resources department held its rst New Employee Orientation on October 10 for all new employees hired since January 2013. The mandatory event was composed of two one-hour sessions that aimed at helping new employees get fully acquainted with the entire LED workforce, not just their own divisions. Representatives from each department gave brief overviews of what their departments contribute to LEDs business development efforts. HR Director Dawn Mock says she is hopeful that these orientations will offer a glimpse into the inner workings of each department. Future orientations will now be held on a quarterly basis in order to ensure that all employees are mindful of each divisions importance and relevance to the overall success of LED. Thanks to Kimali Adomitis, Dawn Mock and Susan Roberts for coordinating and hosting the event.

Saenger Re-Opens in New Orleans

The Saenger Theatre reintroduced herself to New Orleans in dramatic fashion Friday after a more than eight-year absence. The theater has been undergoing renovation since early 2012, both to undo the destruction wrought by Katrina and to revitalize and update the 86-year-old building. LED staff was on hand as the theatre wowed the crowd. The Saenger has been restored to look as it did when it opened to great fanfare in 1927 as a showcase for silent lms. Carpets, chandeliers and the original paint scheme all have been replicated. However, the planetarium-like star display on the auditoriums ceiling has brand-new ber optic technology. Name the production, the actor (or person) that said the line and the character from which the following quotes appear. Hint they all were lmed in Louisiana (all or a portion): 1. Dont you know, youre not supposed to wear white after Labor Day! 2. So you want me to tell you the story of my life? 3. Why, they told me to take a streetcar named Desire and then transfer to one called Cemetery and ride six blocks and get off at Elysian Fields. 4. I see that I am a little piece of a big, big universe, and that makes it right. 5. Fundamentally, people are suckers for the truth. And the truth is on your side, Bubba. 6. Back, and to the leftback, and to the leftback, and to the left. 7. I dont care what you call me, man, just as long as my name is on the record. 8. I thought we would be safe forever. But forever isnt as long as Id hoped. 9. Do you know what Quick means in this county? Hellre. Ashes and char. Flame follows that man around like a dog. Hes a barn burner. 10. Choot Em!
