Machinery has evolved to cut natural full dimensional stone to natural thin stone veneer (nominal 1-inch thickness). The machinery can also make 90-degree cuts that are used for corner applications to conceal the true thickness of the stone. Due to its lighter weight component piecescut to exacting specificationsnatural thin veneer stone helps reduce production, shipping, and construction costs.

Natural thin veneer stone can be applied directly to any new or existing concrete block or brick surface, as well as framed exterior walls. The product can be installed without footings or ledges, and adheres to concrete, plywood, paneling or drywall, even metal.
