OBJECTIVE
To secure employment in a Medical Health Care Facility where I can utilize my bilingual Spanish skills as well as apply my Certificate of completion from in the Medical Administrative Assistant Program at Salt Lake Community College.

OBJECTIVES AND QUALIFICATIONS


Medical office management - Medical terminology - Transcription - Keyboarding 40 wpm - Ten -key - WordPerfect, MS Word-Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Corel and all office machines and equipment. Successfully mastered the alpha-numeric language of ICD-9 and CPT coding. This language has enabled me to explain reimbursement and diagnosis information to insurance companies.

Other courses entailed: All aspects of Administration Assistance for a Medical Office including

2007 SLCC, Graduated from the Medical Administrative Assistant one-year Health Science Program. Maintained a 3.80 GPA and successfully completed an unpaid externship of 160-Hours at Health Clinics of Utah. 2001 Kearns High School - Graduated - Diploma maintained a 3.5 GPA

EMPLOYMENT
SOUTH VALLEY WOMENS HEALTH CARE, WJ, UT (Full Time) 10/09 - Present Medical Record Clerk and Front Desk Receptionist Scanned all documentation into EMR (Electronic Medical Records). Planned, developed, maintained and operated in a variety of health record indexes and storage and retrieval systems to collect, classify, store and analyze protected health information. Handled all correspondence from patients, doctors, law firms, hospital, and insurance companies in regards to medical records. Check in patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and input patient demographics into EMR for a busy Ob/Gyn practice. Translate Spanish/English for patients, phone operators, and medical staff.

Current certification for HIPPA and OSHA compliance. Successfully mastered the operating systems: Chart Capture and Greenway.
