IRELAND VISIT/TOURIST VISA CHECKLIST

NOTE: Visit/Holiday visas are granted ONLY for short term stays. The duration of stay is determined by an Immigration Officer at the Port of Entry, but will never exceed a maximum of 90 days. It is not possible to extend your stay beyond 90 days. You must leave the State on or before the date which has been stamped on your passport by the Immigration Officer. (The dates on your visa refer to the dates during which you can seek to enter the State) NOTE: Failure to observe the conditions of your visa or to overstay will have implications for any future visa applications you make, or may have implications for your reference

1. Printed and signed application summary from online application. All applications must be lodged online see www.embassyofireland.in for details. 2. One recent passport sized photograph not more than 6 months old. Please see www.embassyofireland.in for details of photograph requirements. If the submitted photograph does not meet these requirements it will delay processing on your application. 3. Original Passport valid for at least 6 months after the intended date of departure from Ireland following visits. Passport must have sufficient space for a visa to be inserted, at least one empty page is required. If your passport does not comply with the above your application will be returned to you. A copy of all pages of your passport is required. 4. You should submit all previous passports along with a photocopy of each page of all the passport(s) submitted. If you have been refused a visa for any other country, details of this, preferably the original letter issued to you by the authorities of that country, should be submitted. Concealment of other visa refusals will result in your Irish visa application being refused 5. The required visa fee in the form of DD in favour of Embassy of Ireland, New Delhi. DDs can be obtained from all VFS Application centres. Details of current fees are available at www.embassyofireland.in 6. Full details of Medical /Travel Insurance purchased for this trip

7. Full itinerary of your trip, including the date on which you will leave India and all countries you are visiting prior to and after Ireland. 8. Full details of the reason for your visit e.g. to visit family, friends, etc 9. Confirmation of Hotel booking or letter from reference in Ireland undertaking to provide you with accommodation during your stay. 10. A detailed account as to how your reference in Ireland met you (where applicable) and your relationship to them and supporting evidence of this. If your reference is not an Irish/EEA citizen, evidence of their permission to remain in Ireland a copy of their GNIB card and copy of their passport showing Immigration stamps. 11. Evidence that you have sufficient funds to maintain yourself during your stay (recent bank statement covering a three month period). If your reference in Ireland is supporting you, they must supply a detailed 6 month bank statement for the period immediately prior to

your visa application showing sufficient funds to support you for the duration of your stay. Lump sum lodgements made shortly before your application will not be considered. 12. A written undertaking both from yourself and your reference that you will observe the conditions of your visa, that you will not become a burden on the Irish State and that you will leave the State on the expiration of your visa. 13. Evidence of obligations to return to your country of permanent residence following this visit, e.g. If you are employed a letter from your employer stating how long you have been employed there. The dates you will be on annual leave from and the date you will be returning to work in that employment. If you are a student, a letter from your college outlining what course you are pursuing, how many years you have been a student there, how many years/terms you have left at that college and that you will be returning there following your visit to Ireland. If you are married or have children under 18, and your spouse or children are remaining at home, you should submit your marriage cert and birth cert. for the children. Details of family members residing in your country of permanent residence. Details of your accommodation in your country of permanent residence, e.g. Ownership details or rental agreement. NOTE: All letters submitted should be on official company headed paper and give full contact details for verification purposes. These must include a full postal address, name of contact, position in company, telephone number (landline) and email address where relevant. (Email addresses such as Yahoo or Hotmail are not accepted). Website addresses should also be included if available. 14. If visiting another EU member state prior to travelling to Ireland, the relevant Visa for that country should be obtained before a visa for Ireland can be issued. 15. If travelling to visit a non EU national resident in the state, details of non EU Nationals permission to remain in this state should be submitted (e.g. Garda (Police) Registration Card) 16. For Group Tours Itinerary & Booking Receipt are also required. Please arrange documents as per above given order. ALL OF THE ABOVE DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH YOUR APPLICATION.
