2014 ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

April 2014 Below is a comprehensive look at the 2014 road construction season projects in Edmonton. This year, the City has invested $404 million in more than 125 arterial road, collector and local road, bridge, and interchange projects. This investment includes: $80 million for arterial roadways; $190 million for bridges and interchanges; $134 million for neighbourhood renewal work (collector roads, reconstructions, etc.);

There are also 31 road projects being undertaken by private sector developers this year. City Council is allocating an extra $27 million from the 2014 budget for additional arterial and neighbourhood road renewal work in 2014 and 2015. As such, additional paving locations for 2014 will be identified and announced during spring 2014.
