Brief Idea: Generally 3 types of Paging message 1. Paging Message Type 1 Contains Paging for Max 2 mobiles

2. Paging Message Type 2 Contains Paging message for 3 mo 3. Paging Message Type 3 Contains only 4 TMSI's.

Generally 3 types of Paging messages. Message Type 1 Contains Paging for Max 2 mobiles, with IMSI or TMSI

sage gives the information about the neighbor frequencies in the idle mode. ves the BCCH of the neighbors defined. And the NCC permitted parameter mobile to restrict the neighbors to be sent in the measurement report.

Point 1 Once the Mobile sends the RACH it tries to decode all the AGCH information and waits for the Immediate assignment targeted to the particular mobile. It is being identified from the Establishment cause and Random reference.

Note In dedicated mode or group transmit mode, higher layers can request the setting of the channel mode.The channel mode modify procedure allows the network to request the mobile station to set the channel mode for one channel. The channel mode covers the coding, decoding and transcoding mode used on the indicated channel.
