Credit, and Hourly Pay If that sounds like the perfect internship to you, then you are the ideal candidate for BBPU, Bobbys Burger Palace University Description: Bobby Flay Seeks Fall 2014 Interns for Bobbys Burger Palace, College Park, MD We are looking for talented self-starters with a passion for food, marketing/PR and social media to work with us for the upcoming fall semester and serve as BBPU Ambassadors. We can offer you school credit, along with hourly pay and real on-the-job experience in the marketing/PR sector with mentoring from experts with over 30 years of combined industry experience. There will be burgers too of course! We pride ourselves on having created a work environments built upon self-respect, commitment and pride, with the goal of providing the opportunity for interns to grow and express their creativity. Responsibilities: Student responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Promote BBP during your term as an ambassador via social media channels, traditional media, and campus/community outreach Create original and thoughtful social media content for BBPs social media channels Contribute to the monthly BBPU Tumblr page Take part in an organized community service project on behalf of BBPU Organize and host on-campus events Conduct campus surveys Promote BBPs student dining deals Help organize and participate in a Facebook chat with Bobby Flay Sport BBPU Ambassador tee-shirt and swag on campus The # of credits will be based upon the hours spent: e.g. 45 hours for 1 credit, 90 hours for 2 credits, 135 hours for 3 credits, or as required by your university. Additionally, work logs, supervisor evaluations, a reflection paper, and a final presentation will be required (3 credit option only). Pay will be at the applicable minimum wage. Qualifications: BBPU will accept only five students per semester The program is only open to sophomores, juniors and seniors Preferably a GPA of 3.0 or higher Social media savvy A demonstrated interest in food Involvement in campus life/activities is preferred Excellent oral, written and communication/presentation skills Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team How to Apply: The application process will include the following: Unofficial transcript, resume and cover letter that answers the following questions: Why do you think you would be a good ambassador of BBP What is your ideal burger?
