Rosemary and the four Gutsy Gnomes 60 minutes Intermediate

Lesson Summary Teacher begins lesson by showing students the cover book of the story and pupil respond. Next teacher pre teach some of the vocabs in the story and also the content of the story. After reading the story text, students answer comprehension questions and teacher checks in the class. The next activity is in groups, students rearrange the story strips given by the teacher. After that, students are asked to rewrite the ending of the story and present it to the class. Teacher ends lesson with summary of what have been learnt today. Content Standard

Activity 1 -Teacher ask students to see the book cover on the story in their textbook and give respond about the book Activity 2 -Teacher preteach some of the vocab in the story and other words that students dont know. -Teacher ask students to write down the their definition of the word first before they are being given the real definition

Activity 3 -Students read the story paragraph by paragraph. Teacher asks Whquestions orally and ask students to make guesses as they read on. -Students are given worksheet and answer comprehension question about the story. -Teacher checks with the class. Activity 4 -In groups of 6, students are given envelopes which contain jumbled up sentences of the story. -Students are required to rearrange the strips of the story. -Teacher reads the whole story and pupil check their work.
