Our Lord! Accept (this service) from

us: For Thou art the All-Hearing, the Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka
1.
All-knowing antas Sameeaul Aleem [ :127]
[2:127]

Our Lord! Make of us Muslims,

bowing to Thy (Will), and of our
Rabbana wa-j'alna Muslimayni laka
progeny a people Muslim, bowing to
ma min Dhurriyatina 'Ummatan
Thy (will); and show us our place for
2. Muslimatan laka wa 'Arina
the celebration of (due) rites; and
Manasikana wa tub 'alayna 'innaka [ :128]
turn unto us (in Mercy); for Thou art
'antat-Tawwabu-Raheem
the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful
[2:128]

Our Lord! Grant us good in this world

Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan
and good in the hereafter, and save
3. wa fil 'akhirati hasanatan waqina
us from the chastisement of the fire
'adhaban-nar [ :201]
[2:201]

Our Lord! Bestow on us endurance,

Rabbana afrigh 'alayna sabran wa
make our foothold sure, and give us
4. thabbit aqdamana wansurna 'alal-
help against the disbelieving folk
qawmil-kafirin [ :250]
[2:250]

Our Lord! Condemn us not if we

Rabbana la tu'akhidhna in-nasina aw
5. forget or fall into error
akhta'na [ :286]
[2:286]

Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden

Rabbana wala tahmil alayna isran
Like that which Thou didst lay on
6. kama hamaltahu 'alal-ladheena min
those before us
qablina [ :286]
[2:286]
 Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden
greater than we have strength to
Rabbana wala tuhammilna ma la
bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us
taqata lana bihi wa'fu anna waghfir
7. forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou
lana wairhamna anta mawlana
art our Protector; Help us against [ :286]
fansurna 'alal-qawmil kafireen
those who stand against faith
[2:286]

Our Lord! (they say), Let not our

hearts deviate now after Thou hast Rabbana la tuzigh quloobana ba'da
guided us, but grant us mercy from idh hadaytana wa hab lana

Thine own Presence; for Thou art the milladunka rahmah innaka antal
[8: ]
Grantor of bounties without measure Wahhab
[3:8]

Our Lord! Thou art He that will gather

mankind Together against a day Rabbana innaka jami'unnasi li-
9. about which there is no doubt; for Yawmil la rayba ri innAllaha la
Allah never fails in His promise. yukhliful mi'aad [ :9]
[3:9]

Our Lord! We have indeed believed:

Rabbana innana amanna faghfir lana
forgive us, then, our sins, and save
10. dhunuubana wa qinna 'adhaban-
us from the agony of the Fire [ :16]

Our Lord! We believe in what Thou

hast revealed, and we follow the Rabbana amanna bima anzalta
11. Messenger. Then write us down wattaba 'nar-Rusula fak-tubna
among those who bear witness ma'ash-Shahideen [ :53]
[3:53]

Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and

anything We may have done that
transgressed our duty: Establish our

feet firmly, and help us against those
that resist Faith

Rabbana-ghfir lana dhunuubana wa
israfana fi amrina wa thabbit
aqdamana wansurna 'alal qawmil
[ :147]

Our Lord! Not for naught Hast Thou

created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give
Rabbana ma khalaqta hadha batila
13. us salvation from the penalty of the
Subhanaka faqina 'adhaban-Naar [ :191]
Fire
[3:191]

Our Lord! Any whom Thou dost admit

to the Fire, Truly Thou coverest with Rabbana innaka man tudkhilin nara
14. shame, and never will wrong-doers faqad akhzaytah wa ma liDh-
Find any helpers! dhalimeena min ansar [ :192]
[3:192]
 Our Lord! We have heard the call of
Rabbana innana sami'na
one calling (Us) to Faith, 'Believe ye
15. munadiyany-yunadi lil-imani an
in the Lord,' and we have believed.
aminu bi Rabbikum fa'aamanna [ :193]
[3:193]

Our Lord! Forgive us our sins, blot

out from us our iniquities, and take to Rabbana faghfir lana dhunoobana
16. Thyself our souls in the company of wa kaffir 'ana sayyi'aatina wa
the righteous tawaffana ma'al Abrar [ :193]
[3:193]

Our Lord! Grant us what Thou didst

promise unto us through Thine
Rabbana wa 'atina ma wa'adtana 'ala
apostles, and save us from shame on
17. rusulika wa la tukhzina yawmal-
the Day of Judgment: For Thou never
Qiyamah innaka la tukhliful mi'aad [ :194]
breakest Thy promise
[3:194]

Our Lord! We believe; write us down

Rabbana aamana faktubna ma' ash-
18. among the witnesses.
shahideen [ :83]
[5:83]

O Allah our Lord! Send us from

heaven a table set (with viands), that
Rabbana anzil 'alayna ma'idatam
there may be for us - for the first and
minas-Samai tuknu lana 'idal li-
the last of us - a solemn festival and
19. awwa-lina wa aakhirna wa ayatam-
a sign from thee; and provide for our
minka war-zuqna wa anta Khayrul- [ :114]
sustenance, for thou art the best

Our Lord! We have wronged our own

souls: If thou forgive us not and Rabbana zalamna anfusina wa il lam
20. bestow not upon us Thy Mercy, we taghfir lana wa tarhamna lana kuna
shall certainly be lost. minal-khasireen [ :23]
[7:23]

Our Lord! Send us not to the

Rabbana la taj'alna ma'al qawwmi-
21. company of the wrong-doers
dhalimeen [ :47]
[7:47]

Our Lord! Decide Thou between us

Rabbana afrigh bayana wa bayna
and our people in truth, for Thou art
22. qawmina bil haqqi wa anta Khayrul
the best to decide. [ :89]
Fatiheen
[7:89]
 Our Lord! Pour out on us patience
and constancy, and take our souls
Rabbana afrigh 'alayna sabraw wa
23. unto thee as Muslims (who bow to
tawaffana Muslimeen [ :126]
thy will)!
[7:126]

Our Lord! Make us not a trial for

those who practise oppression; And Rabbana la taj'alna firnatal lil- ;
24. deliver us by Thy Mercy from those qawmidh-Dhalimeen wa najjina bi-
who reject (Thee) Rahmatika minal qawmil kafireen [ :85-86]
[10:85-86]

O our Lord! Truly Thou dost know

what we conceal and what we reveal: Rabbana innaka ta'iamu ma nukhfi
25. for nothing whatever is hidden from wa ma nu'lin wa ma yakhfa 'alal-lahi
Allah, whether on earth or in heaven min shay'in fil-ardi wa la fis-Sama' [ :38]

O our Lord! And accept my Prayer.

26. Rabbana wa taqabbal Du'a
[14:40] [ :40]

O our Lord! Cover (us) with Thy

Forgiveness - me, my parents, and
27. (all) Believers, on the Day that the
Reckoning will be established!
[14:41]
Rabbana ghfir li wa li wallidayya wa
lil Mu'mineena yawma yaqumul
[ :41]

Our Lord! Bestow on us Mercy from

Rabbana 'atina mil-ladunka
Thyself, and dispose of our affair for
28. Rahmataw wa hayya lana min
us in the right way! [ :10]
amrina rashada
[18:10]

Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with

insolence against us, or lest he Rabbana innana nakhafu any-yafruta
29.
transgress all bounds 'alayna aw any-yatgha [ :45]
[20: 45]

Our Lord! We believe; then do Thou

forgive us, and have mercy upon us:
Rabbana amanna faghfir lana
30. For Thou art the Best of those who
warhamna wa anta khayrur Rahimiin [ :109]
show mercy
[23: 109]
 Our Lord! Avert from us the Wrath of
Rabbanas-rif 'anna 'adhaba
Hell, for its Wrath is indeed an
jahannama inna 'adhabaha kana
31. affliction grievous,- Evil indeed is it as
gharama innaha sa'at musta-qarranw
an abode, and as a place to rest in. [ :65-66]
wa muqama
[25: 65-66]

O my Lord! Grant unto us wives and

offspring who will be the comfort of Rabbana Hablana min azwaajina
32. our eyes, and give us (the grace) to wadhurriy-yatina, qurrata 'ayioni wa-
lead the righteous jalna lil-muttaqeena Imaama [ :74]
[25:74]

Our Lord is indeed Oft-Forgiving

33. Ready to appreciate (service) Rabbana la Ghafurun shakur
[ :34]
[35: 34]

Our Lord! Thy Reach is over all

things, in Mercy and Knowledge.
Rabbana wasi'ta kulla sha'ir
Forgive, then, those who turn in
Rahmatanw wa 'ilman faghfir
34. Repentance, and follow Thy Path;
lilladhina tabu wattaba'u sabilaka
and preserve them from the Penalty [ :7]
waqihim 'adhabal-Jahiim
of the Blazing Fire!
[40:7]

And grant, our Lord! that they enter

the Gardens of Eternity, which Thou
hast promised to them, and to the
Rabbana wa adhkhilum Jannati
righteous among their fathers, their
'adninil-lati wa'attahum wa man
wives, and their posterity! For Thou
salaha min aba'ihim wa azajihim wa
art (He), the Exalted in Might, Full of
dhuriyyatihim innaka antal 'Azizul-
35. Wisdom. And preserve them from
Hakim, waqihimus sayyi'at wa man
(all) ills; and any whom Thou dost
taqis-sayyi'ati yawma'idhin faqad
preserve from ills that Day,- on them [ :8-9]
rahimatahu wa dhalika huwal fawzul-
wilt Thou have bestowed Mercy
'Adheem
indeed: and that will be truly (for
them) the highest Achievement.
[40:8-9]

Our Lord! Forgive us, and our

brethren who came before us into the
Faith, and leave not, in our hearts,
36.
rancour (or sense of injury) against
those who have believed.
[59:10]
Rabbana-ghfir lana wa li 'ikhwani
nalladhina sabaquna bil imani wa la
taj'al fi qulubina ghillal-lilladhina
[ :10]
amanu

Our Lord! Thou art indeed Full of

37. Kindness, Most Merciful. Rabbana innaka Ra'ufur Rahim
[ :10]

 Our Lord! In Thee do we trust, and to
Thee do we turn in repentance: to Rabbana 'alayka tawakkalna wa-
38.
Thee is (our) Final Goal ilayka anabna wa-ilaykal masir [ :4]
[60:4]

Our Lord! Make us not a (test and)

trial for the Unbelievers, but forgive Rabbana la taj'alna fitnatal lilladhina
39. us, our Lord! for Thou art the Exalted kafaru waghfir lana Rabbana innaka
in Might, the Wise. antal 'Azizul-Hakim [ :5]
[60:5]

Our Lord! Perfect our Light for us,

and grant us Forgiveness: for Thou Rabbana atmim lana nurana waighfir

hast power over all things. lana innaka 'ala kulli shay-in qadir [ :8]
