Retrieve memorandum from University Center Student Involvement Set up Blood Drive for the Fall Semester and get into contact with Ali Brown Be apart of a sponsorship search with the treasurer and membership chair. Make sure everyone knows their jobs. Set up committees Standards for each Semester a. Every officer has to attend two Project CURE events and two Social Events Activities will be decided by 5/9 of the officer Elect a Freshman representative and Sophomore representative and let them have their own role in the officer meetings but will not be apart of the 9 votes for the decision. If an officer cannot perform the duties of their office then it is either up to the president to get the job done or assign it to another officer. If an officer does not do their job, the president is to sit and talk to them about why they couldnt perform the task. Meet with the department at least once a semester with two other officers present. Writes up the budget for the year without any income. Sets up the officer meetings for the semester. Sends emails out regularly to the members.

Role of Vice President A. To be the representing figure when the president is not there. B. They are required to plan the Blood Drive for the Second semester. C. If a fellow officer cannot perform their duties at any given time, the vice president is their first choice to be given the task. D. They will be the officer who in a joint committee with another officer to find guest speakers for the meeting. Role of Secretary A. B. C. D. Required to attend the meeting with the Department . Writes minutes of all meetings including general meeting, officer meetings, etc. Required to turn the minutes from the officer meeting into slides for the General Meetings. Required to touch base with each officer to make sure all events are up to date.

Role of Treasurer A. Collects dues from the members. B. Writes checks out to officers if an officer is in charge of an event and delegate money to an officer for an event. C. Must obtain receipts from the officers that spend money. If a check is cashed the receipt is not needed D. Must adjust the budget once an event passes to record each event as a transaction. E. Must be one of the officers that goes sponsorship searching. F. Must check the mailbox weekly. G. Discusses finance with all officers. H. All officers must go to the Treasurer before an event. I. Gets name associated with the checkbook.

Role of Membership Chair A. Must keep track of all members that have paid into BMES. B. Must keep track of points. C. Holds monthly meetings to get members suggestions/ideals a week before each officer meeting. D. Creates assessment forms each semester like what worked /what didnt. E. Must be able to attend the BOS Party and Chili Cook Off.

Role of Social Chair A. Is in charge of creating social events. B. Game Night/Football/ etc C. Everything that is needed such as food, drinks, accessories etc is to be taken care of by the social chair. D. Social chair promotes all BMES social events.

Role of Volunteer Chair A. Attends Project CURE B. Picks a charity walk for the year and promotes BMES members to attend C. All Outreach events including Launch into Engineering and Science Extravaganza is coordinated through the Volunteer Chair and Communication Chair

Role of Communication Chair A. Attends Cougar Paw meetings. B. Is one of the officers that can be contacted through the department. C. Must discuss with the other officers of events that are occurring and when they are occurring. D. Must become a member of Society of Biological Engineers. E. Picks Guest Speakers for monthly meetings. F. Emails Audrey Grayson of all general meetings. G. Sets up meal options for the general meetings.

Role of Webmaster A. Takes care of website. B. Takes minutes created by the Secretary and updates the calendar accordingly. C. Keeps up with all social networking sites.

Committees A. BOS Party 3 officers. a. Coordinates all activities for the BOS Party. b. Communication Chair, Membership Chair, and Social Chair are suggested. B. IEEE Chili Cook off a. Coordinates all activities for the Chili Cook Off b. Comprised of same officers for the BOS Party C. Engineering Alumni Association Week a. Picks a project to do with Project CURE this year will be a manual on checking out different types of equipment. b. Vice President, Volunteer Chair, and Secretary are suggested. c. D. RecycleMania a. Picks a project to do with the organization that emphasizes and promotes Biomedical Engineering b. Committee is composed of the President, Webmaster, Treasurer suggestively.
