He looks at her and wonders how he got this lucky, she looks back at him with dreamy eyes and is sure that his arms could be the only place called eternity. His parents were mad he even dared speak of marriage... to a Muslim girl. Her father was only blocked in time by her uncle, from bursting her head open with his walking stick. How could his most adored daughter talk of what has never happened in their family; bringing a Christian boy home. The boy came back the next day when he was sure the girl won't know of his visit. He shocked her father when he asked "what if I become a Muslim, would you bless our union sir?" The speechless dad now understood how strongly his daughter was loved. He remembered her dreamy eyes, back came his fond memories of her and he wondered 'who wouldn't love this angel?' All he could do was cry. The uncle pleaded with the boy to give them sometime to think it through. She was not ready to live in a world where the boy exists and she breathes air without them being together. So she secretly went to his parents knelt to the floor with tears gushing from her eyes enough to flood a small village and she told them if they gave their blessing, she would become a Christian. His mother joined her in the weeping galore and they quickly gave their blessing for they knew only true love would make her change her faith for their boy. His parents went to visit hers to let them know of their daughter's decision to become a Christian so as to marry their boy but were shocked to hear that their boy also offered to become a Muslim so as to marry the girl. The two families not knowing how to proceed, did what over zealous religionists do; they argued about who's religion is superior. A lot was said but the girl walked in just in time to hear the last statement "this marriage will only happen over my dead body!!" A month has passed and the boy's health was not improving. He had complications with his heart. Though no proof, it is widely speculated that not marrying the girl had a lot to do with his condition. When his parents went home to rest for the day, he quickly arranged for an Imam to perform some rights on him to make him a Muslim before he dies. And die he did, two days later. His parents did not know he died a muslim. The news of his death reached the girl and the world suddenly disappeared from her. She felt the only way she could make her parents hurt as much as she was hurting was to become a Christian. She went to a church and she became a Christian, she even picked a Christian name. The tears in her eyes blinded her so she could not see the ditch infront of her. She fell in and landed on her head breaking her neck. Her parents only identified her body three days later. She never got to tell them she was a Christian. The boy's reason for converting to Islam was so that he could at least meet her in paradise meant for Muslims and she became a Christian so that she would spite her parents and someday meet him in a Christian paradise. Now if there truly is a seperate paradise for every religion, they would be disappointed there too for just as they were on earth, the lovers are still separated in heaven by their faith. THE END
