Introduction

In too many of our churches we have the ancient slave mentality that says, I dont need to go to school to be a preacher, I got the anointing! Well during the days of slavery and Jim Crow we didnt have an opportunity to go to eminary or !ible Colleges" #y grandfather was a deacon and his brother was a pastor bac$ in the days when fol$s only got a grade school education and had to %uit because they had to help pic$ tobacco" #y forefathers made due the best they could under harsh circumstances" &ow there is &' e(cuse for a preacher not getting formal training! )ou may not be able to afford *arvard or +rinceton ,heological eminary, but every denomination should have a local !ible school" #ost churches today have their own !ible Institutes or chools" When you accepted the call to preach you also accepted the call to discipleship -training." Jesus spent 3 years training His disciples for ministry. He taught them how to pray, how to cast out devils, how to lay hands on the sick, how to carry themselves, and how to make more disciples. I am disgusted at how easy it is to be ordained in our churches" Just because a brother or sister can testify loud or run their mouth doesnt mean they are called to preach! If they are called they will be willing to be trained !/0'1/ being given a piece of paper ordaining them" 1emember this2 if the preacher is ignorant and unlearned, then the people will be too! ,he gospel preacher must devote his -or her. life to purity of doctrine" +aul warned ,imothy to avoid fables and old wives tales" Its very easy for preachers to get involved in the flavor of the month teachings" #ost church fol$s can tell you what the !ishop said two years ago at the state meeting but cant tell you what Jesus said about a situation" We have &' /3C4 / today! ,he !ible is almost 01// it is so cheap, you can go on line and read the !ible, and you can buy one in the 5'6671 ,'1/!!! ,his manual will help you 8&'W what Jesus taught on various topics"

,his manual was put together to refute much of the false teaching we receive in our churches" I originally gave it the title My Pastor teaches this, ut what does Jesus !"#$ !ecause most of our church members can %uote the +astor and the 5enominational *andboo$, but $now very little about W*7, J/ 4 7I5! ,his is not a boo$ per se2 it is a reference guide to the words of Jesus, and the teachings of *is 5isciples" 7fter using this boo$ you will be challenged to '!/) J/ 4 or continue to follow the false teachings you may have been under for )/71 ! I $now some will read this and thin$ I am over reacting or over9ealous, but remember this one thing: atan wants you to remain ineffective!
