Name: Professor: Subject: Date Due: Race, Ethnicity and Inequality in US Institutions My research project focuses on the race, ethnicity and equality in education. The rise in ethnicity in the education system affects the performance of students in schools since they do not feel at par with the other students in other races. With regard to this, these projects will emphasis on the rise of racial injustice, ethnicity and lack of equality in the education system in the US schools. Particularly I will focus on the US institutions and how they have been affected by this phenomenon at different times in history (Bruce, 35). This is an interesting topic because different studies have come up with varied results concerning the assessment of education opportunities for students with varied ethnic backgrounds. Thus the concept of racial injustice has led to the rise in inequality in the institutional dynamics of education and this has been an issue in the US in particular their differences in relation to racial and cultural groups. Studies have shown that the important factors that determine student performance are the social class, the background of the family and education and the way their family feel towards education (Bruce, 36). I thus want to find out more about this in relation to other reports by Coleman that poor students more so those from the black communities have been left behind in the education system in the US. Through time the concept of racial injustice and inequality in education has changed and different authors, critics and readers have varied views concerning

the topic. My project therefore argues that school facilities, funding, and curriculum play a little role in relation to student performance. Data collection methods for this research will be conducted through primary and secondary methods. Moreover this project shall prepare a structured closed ended questionnaire with relevant questions on the topic of study (Saunders, 40). This is due to the fact that the information required will be crucial and need deep analysis thus closed ended questions will capture the objectives of the study and will be the most appropriate primary data collection instrument. Moreover, using the questionnaires for collecting data will enable this study to collect quantitative data which is easier to analyze. The secondary method will include books, academic journals, online articles, past projects by different authors, statistics from government and nongovernmental organizations in order to get beneath the concept of race, ethnicity and inequality in education in the US institutions (Bruce, 34). The research methodology that will be applied in this study therefore will be to achieve the set purpose statement and test of the paper. Specifically this study will rely on the LAMP model in depicting about the topic. I expect to read scholarly sources such as research methods for business students, Business to Business research guidelines which will be helpful in gathering and analyzing of research data while information from scholars such as Bruce concerning race, ethnicity and inequality in education will be vital on how people view this topic.
