CAREER OBJECTIVE: I am seeking role within a successful architectural practice that offers a variety of projects where I can gain experience in various phases of a project from the conceptual to the documentation process and build upon the future for my architectural registration. WORK EXPERIENCE Nov 2012 - Mar 2013: Architectural Graduate Stufkens + Chambers Architects, Christchurch Forming part of the technical team and working on residential Canterbury Rebuild projects. The task involved on-site investigations, assessments and producing accurate drawings of existing residential homes in ArchiCAD for further documentation, assessments and phases of remedial work that needs to be carried out for consent purpose. Accurate plans were also developed for geo-techs and engineers for further analysis, reports and recommendations on remedial work for the next phases. Gaining valuable construction and technical knowledge. Understanding of working drawings and producing accurate drawings from measure-ups and sketches carried out on-site. Gaining experience and knowledge of building consent regulations, requirements and the process for Canterbury Rebuild projects. Developing ArchiCAD skills and efficiency. Developing communication skills and understanding the importance of communication with other professionals in the industry. Research Assistant Victoria University of Wellington A Research Project carried out in order to simulate physical daylight into spaces. The idea was to create 'real' visualisations rather than realistic renders through various settings and presets in 3D Studio Max (3dsmax). The research project was carried out as part of assisting and gathering information for a presentation at the Autodesk University Conference in Las Vegas by Michael Donn, senior lecturer at Victoria University School of Architecture in Wellington, New Zealand on: Simulating Reality: Daylight and Lighting in Architecture with Autodesk 3dsmax.
