Overview
The Management Excellence simulation focuses on the management and supervision excellence needed to engage your direct reports, peers, manager and customers. This simulation was created for any manager who needs to learn how best to motivate their employees while building their trust and gaining the confidence of their boss, peers and customers. The simulation explores those management decisions which lead to employee productivity, improved skills, increased trust, effective managers, customer satisfaction, improved operations, and increased profit margins. The Management Excellence simulation is a practical, experiential learning experience that includes a sophisticated computer-based simulation model. Participants explore the challenges and pitfalls associated with making better management decisions through an enhanced understanding of the fundamentals of managing down, across, up and out. This simulation provides participants with an opportunity to manage and see the impacts of their management decisions on the faces of direct reports, peers, customers and their boss as well as on gains in the level of engagement, confidence and trust that their action produce.

Simulation Characteristics
Some key elements of the simulation are:

A service business consisting of direct reports who each lead a team of employees. Managing your boss, peer, direct reports, and customers in a way which engages them, builds their trust and (in the case of your Direct Reports) improves their skills. Customers have an impact on your operations and profitability as does your management of your Direct Reports. Surprise Events pop-up throughout the day presenting participants with thought-provoking management situations and scenarios which lead to robust classroom discussions and further aid the learning experience. Simulation decision choices involve: Questioning, Talks, Check-Ins, Briefings, Team Meetings, Coaching, Providing Feedback or Recognition, Listening, Status Updates, Skills Training, Professional Development, Celebrations, Social Events, Reviews, Community Service Projects, Safety Checkups and Sharing Best Practices. Company goals of People metrics and Operational metrics must be achieved.
