Introducing one year PG program in Thermal Power Plant Engineering for working professionals through distance learning. First of its kind, the Distance Learning Program is designed especially for professionals working in thermal power plants will build a strong foundation at par to full time program.
The program follows the training schedule stated under training and development policy (Indian Electricity Rules, 1981). Objective of program is to improve technical competency of professionals working in energy sector, thermal power plants in particular. Training is administered from Nagpur Center and is imparted through study material, project work, computer based training programs and assignments. Examinations are taken online.
Training Methodology
Project and Assignments Individual and group projects are assigned to students followed with presentation and viva Computer Based Training and Simulator Training Training on Operation and Maintenance is provided on 210 MW PC based simulator along with computer based training modules Industrial and Plant Visits Regular site visits are planned to Thermal Power Station Library and Notes Students are provided with literature developed by the institute. Classroom notes along with question banks are also provided.
