Vacuum Contactor
Concept The high vacuum is one of the best dielectric media available for switching a high power electrical circuit. It enables designers to have minimum contact separation, low mechanism energy & hence makes the design compact. A very compact vacuum interrupter is resin encapsulated to increase the external creepage to form an Insulated Arc Interruption Device attached with a sturdy mechanism to yield the most compact Vacuum Contactor of its kind. The features of this contactor are as below. The mechanical latch or magnetic actuator design is also available upon special requirement.

Conventionally the motor switching in medium voltage range was done by the oil or SF6 circuit breakers. These circuit breakers which are basically designed for high current interruption with very high energy mechanisms are too unnecessary for switching the comparatively smaller loads. The frequent switching of such smaller loads results into exhausting the life of mechanisms or compels for higher maintenance. The vacuum contactor fuse combinations mounted on a trolley is a perfect solution giving a very high mechanism life. This trolley with new panels or retrofitting arrangement is an optimum solution.
