PASSIVE VOICE
Passive voice is a grammatical construction where the subject in sentence or clause do not take action, but receive action or actionable by another agent either mentioned or not. But in general, English Passive Sentences are formed by adding To be before V3 or Be + V3.

The general formula to form a passive sentence :

Active : S + Verb + Object... Passive : Object + to be + Verb 3 (+by subject)

To be used : Present : is, am, are Past : was, were Perfect : been (. have, has, or had) Future : be (after modals) Continuous : being (in front of one of the seven to be on top)

PASSIVE GERUND
Passive Gerund with verb Want, Need, Require, Deserve, Worth Example: The chair needs repairing The houses need painting The composition requires rewriting Your shoes want mending Passive Gerund after the preposition / preposition. Example: He is afraid of being punished Maisy objects to being helped by Ganis. David doesnt like being scolded by his friends

Passive Gerund Auxiliary verb "to be" in the form of Gerund. Example: I dont like being cheated. She hates being started at. She always does everything without being told.

Adjective followed by the verb 'infinitive' and ends with the verb, the sentence is translated by a passive, although not in the passive construction. Example: Its hard to believe. Its difficult to solve. Its a good idea

The following is a form of passive sentences for each of the tenses and modals:

Continuous Tense S + be (is, am, are, was, were) + being + V III Tenses Present Past Future Active sentence The teacher is helping me The teacher was helping me The teacher will be helping me Passive sentences I am being helped by the teacher I was being helped by the teacher I will be being helped by the teacher

Perfect Tense S + has/have/had + been + V III Tenses Present Past Future Active sentence The teacher has helped me The teacher had helped me The teacher will have helped me Passive sentences I have been helped by the teacher I had been helped by the teacher I will have been helped by the teacher

Perfect Continuous Tense S + has/have/had + been + being + V III Tenses Active sentence Present The teacher has been helping me Past The teacher had been helping me Passive sentences I have been being helped by the teacher I had been being helped by the teacher I will have been being helped by the teacher

Future The teacher will have been helping me

Use By Consider the following examples: The word 'by' is used in the passive voice when someone is doing These shoes were made by my uncle
