DATA CENTER DESIGN BEST
PRACTICES AND INFRASTRUCTURE
AUDITING FOUNDATION
The 5-day professional training course offers deep understanding of data center design principles and
auditing of data center design and operations for the purpose of thirdparty data center certification accord-
ing to Trusted Site Infrastructure (TSI), a highly demanded auditing program for mission critical data center
infrastructures.
The course is based on the Standard ANSI/ BICSI 002-2011, Data Center Design and Implementation Best
Practices, supplement of TIA-942, and the TViT Trusted Site Infrastructure (TSI) auditing criteria and certifi-
cation requirements.
What makes this course unique?
This training course combines in a unique way the internationally recognized BICSI Data Center Design Best
Practices of Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI) with data center auditing training ac-
cording to the Trusted Site Infrastructure criteria.
You will learn about
The ideal location for a data center
An optimized computer room layout
Data center availability models (N, N+1 and 2N)
Leveling of data center availability (TSI / Class Level 1
to 4)
Power and cooling load calculations
Sizing of components of the mechanical, electrical and
plumbing (MEP) systems
Optimization of cooling methodologies for maximum
efficiency
Data center availability criteria
Standardized auditing and certification of data center
availability

Testimonial
In December 2012 I had the opportunity to attend class BICSI DC 125 Data Center Design Best Practises
+ Auditing Course at DCE academy, which gives an outstanding overview and introduction to all important
aspects of the conception and planning of data centers. Especially the presented information about electrical
systems, data center cooling and data center telecommunications and cabeling are invaluable to my daily
work as an architect and planner of data centers. I am looking forward very much to attending and profiting
again from the other classes offered by DCE academy.
