Ten Years in Russia! As we write this letter we have just completed our tenth year of ministry in Russia! It is difcult to believe that ten years ago we packed our life into 2 suitcases and 8 boxes and were driven to Logan International airport to begin a new phase of life in Russia. During our rst few days in Russia we were a bit stunned after leaving behind our adult children and our, then, 4 small grandchildren. Since that time we have been blest with 5 more grandkids bringing our blessings up to 9. We had lived in Russia during 1994-96 with our teenage children so we had an idea what we were coming into, but never the less, it was a big change and challenge for us. Despite the challenges we had counted the cost and we knew that we had a calling from God to live and minister in Russia. Of course we missed and continue to miss our family, yet the price paid has been worth it. Over the last ten years we have seen hundreds of people come to Christ. We have had the privilege to teach in many churches in our city and to travel across this vast country to minister in churches and faith based rehabilitation centers. We have participated in the mentoring and training of

hundreds of young men and women who have gone on to bring the Gospel to their country and to the world. We could ask no greater privilege than this. After ten years of life and service here we love Russia and the Russian people. We could not have imagined the friendships that we would build and the opportunities that the Lord would give to us. Current News After a brief sabbatical in the US we arrived back in Russia on March 11, but some where along the way we both picked up an illness that knocked us both off our feet for more than two weeks. It seemed that when one of us began to feel better the other would feel worse. So for the last several weeks with a combination of jet-lag and illness we have not been very productive. Finally however, we are recovered and beginning to minister again. During the rst week of April we will be teaching at the Nizhny Novgorod Bible School. At the same time we will resume our schedule of visiting the local rehabilitation centers that are sponsored by Cornerstone church. We will teach several times each week to young men and women who have made the decision to leave
