What are you thinking when we talk about a laboratory assistant?

Yes of course, many students answered that a laboratory assistant is the person who give ACC signature for their experiment report. The others said that a laboratory assistant is the person who help and accompany them during experiment. Now, there are two statements about who is laboratory assistant. Which one is true? Actually, a laboratory assistant is someone who has high dedication to help and serve their students (practicans) before experiment until experiment over. Usually, their job begin with serving the students or practicans with giving a pre-test. Pre-test is a small test to measuring the practicans how far they understand about their subject of experiment want to do before experiment. After giving a pre-test, is a laboratory assistants jobs clear? No, because after a laboratory assistant gives a pre-test, they must help their practicans during the experiment. Example, before experiment, a laboratory assistant help their practicans with making a reagent. Then, a laboratory assistants jobs is almost clear. Last jobs the laboratory assistant must to do is correcting the practicans reports of their experiment. If the report is true or almost true, laboratory assistant will give ACC signature in their report. I want to be a laboratory assistant, especially laboratory assistant for chemical engineering fundamental laboratory II. There are 2 reason why I want to be a laboratory assistant for chemical engineering fundamental laboratory II. 1. First reason, I like to share my knowledge to others. the way to share my knowledge is being the laboratory assistant. We can share our knowledge with practicans in pre-test session. After a small test, usually a laboratory assistant give explanation and share their knowledge about the subject of experiment want to do. I love this part. Therefore, I want to be a laboratory assistant. But remember, being laboratory assistant is not the only way to share our knowledge. I choose this way if I am accepted as laboratory assistant. Amin. 2. Second reason, I want to make a change for chemical engineering fundamental laboratory II. I want to be a part of that change. If I am accepted as laboratory assistant, I will show my totality effort to make chemical engineering fundamental laboratory II being better.

What totality efforts that I can do? yes, of course, I want to start with small things. Example, a laboratory assistant must accompany practicans during experiment. I will accompany and help them if any problem during experiment. Pre-test session become a vital part for practicans before their do the experiment. Why? Because in pre-test session, after a small test, there is brief explanation from laboratory assistant about the subject of experiment they want to do. As a laboratory assistant, they must maximize the pre-test session with giving a detail explanation. With giving a detail explanation, a practicans will understand about the subject of experiment and do the experiment with no error. And last my totality effort that I can do if I am accepted as laboratory assistant is make the chemical engineering fundamental laboratory II more digital and more accessible. What does it mean? It means that to make practicans easier to get the information from the lab.
