'Mihidhu Senpura' housing scheme in Dematagoda, Colombo was ceremonially declared open Mahinda Rajapaksa on 18th November 2013. The event coincided with the 68th birthday celebration of the President. Under the first phase 20000 housing units will be built and constructions of 14764 are in progress at present.

Ranajayapura is a concept made a reality under the Mahinda Chintana programme. The housing scheme at Ipalogama marks the completion of the first phase of the project aimed at building 50,000 houses for war heroes. Ranajayapura is the largest ever housing project built for the war heroes consisting 1509 completed houses with all modern amenities. Each housing unit consists of a living area, two bed rooms, pantry, a balcony and all amenities including proper sanitary facilities.

Under the twelfth phase of the 'Api Wenuwen Api' housing project for war heroes, 100 brand new houses completed in the Matale district of the Central Province were handed over to their respective owners by Mahinda Rajapaksa at a special ceremony held at the Nugagolla School ground in Matale on 3rd June 2013. 'Api Wenuwen Api' housing project total 700 houses

This is the case of resettlement areas in North. The Government did not provide any of the facilities itself for these peoples. Most of the people are still living under the tents and in temporary shelters without any basic needs. Only 14730 houses have been built under the Indian housing scheme and some of the houses are supported by other NGOs. However, more than 2840 houses out of 14730 were given to Sinhala colonization.

East
Governments contribution for resettled people for North and East. Only 12 Nos tin sheet only given to them.

The woman with the children who lost her husband in war is resettled by Government in Mayavanoor in Kilinochchi. She is complaining to the North Province Minister regard that she was asked to join in SL army by Armed forces.

Children studying in Grade 1 to 5 received Rs. 20,000.00 while those in Grade 6-to 8 were given Rs. 30,000.00. Children in Grade 9 to 13 received scholarships worth Rs. 50,000.00. 13th December 2013 This year a total of 28236 school in south of CSD personnel received books in addition to educational scholarships and laptops.

The Government colonize the Sinhala peoples in north part which is named as Buddhist Village from south of Srilanka , providing livelihood assistance (Vocational equipment and other accessories). The Governor and military commander lay the foundation stone for the permanent houses on 16.01.2014.

100 acre has Land taken for Sinhala colonization in Vavuniya. The Minister of North province has visited there on 07.03.2014.

The development of Country has much focused on South rather than affected parts of the country. There are three Highways opened recently and 50 luxury buses handed over for these areas.

March 18th the Sri Lankan Civil Aviation Day" declared His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the opening ceremony of Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport on18th March 2013.

Mahinda Rajapaksa unveiled the plaque amidst the blessings of the Maha Sangha, marking the commencement of the project that would see the extension and an overlay of the existing runway, a new terminal building and an apron being constructed at the airfield of Sri Lanka Air Force Unit in Batticaloa on 03 rd September 2013.

Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa laid the Foundation Stone auspiciously for the construction of Southern Campus affiliated to the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) at a function held at Sooriyawewa on 06th February 2014. Rs. 2000 Million.
