B and C as sub-item. In material master record of item A set item category group as !"A. In sales order it will generate item category #A$ for header item and #A for sub-items. As #A is not rele%ant for pricing or billing no pricing

will be generated for Item B and C. Correct this if it's wrong.

As per my ,nowledge concern) BOM is a compound meterial which is ha%ing main item n sub items. here i can gi%e u an e(ample if take +Computer as a BOM) in that computer is the main item and the remaining are sub items-like mouse) key board) moniter etc.... if u set !"A in main item - item cat grp) when u place the order it applys to whole met not for the main item . means the sub items r not free items for main item )here sub item price is included in the main item price so those sub items not free goods. if u set the "'M/ in main metitem cat grp) for each sub item the price will be carried out. #his is BOM concept n its mainly focused on how the pricing will be carried out during the sales order.-pls refer 0lynn c 1illiams std *A+ BOO, /O! *2. & ! for abo%e 3uestion posted by 2ebarati there is no possibility of configuration in standard *A+. with Inclusion and e(clusion 1e maintain the same commands in MM=7 that is rele%ant to *td items and than go to ;B<7 A<2O #& ! $'I! 2 setting in e(clusion as material A> B and C are different and if they are same we need to do the re3uired setting in I<C"'*I; Materials- eg increase the 3uantity 4?@ buy 4 get one free.
