Protective coating for hot-dip galvanised steel structures waterborne

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

Protective coating for hot-dip galvanised steel structures. The material is specially adjusted for application in the shop with a dry film thickness of approximately 120 m. GEHOTEX-W8 is usually applied as one-layer-system directly on the hot-dip galvanised surfaces. Base: Acrylic resin copolymerisate, waterborne. The material is optimally adjusted for coating in the shop respectively on automated plants. Application by airless-spraying. On smaller areas brush application is also possible. Due to the optimal composition of binder and pigments it is possible to achieve a perfect adhesion directly on hot-dip galvanised steel surfaces as well as an excellent corrosion protection. Temperature resistance: up to 80 C (thermoplastic)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION Surface preparation Hot-dip galvanised steel parts: Dry and clean surfaces are essential for excellent adhesion of the coating materials. Besides contaminants like grease, oil, dust, etc. especially zinc salts (zinc corrosion products) have to be removed totally. Optimal results at temperatures of 15 to 25 C, not below 10 C Max. 80 % relative humidity The surface temperature of the parts to be coated must be at least 3 C above the dew point of the surrounding air throughout the application. (see basic specification for corrosion protection DIN EN ISO 12944-7) Comments on processing Application methods
