Good morning: Good newsWe have scheduled the Instructor Training for Module 1 of Smart Grid 101 for September 22 and September 23 in Indianapolis. The specific details of the location and times will be forwarded at a later time.

We are very fortunate to have as our trainer Doug Houseman of EnerNex. EnerNex is a global consulting firm in the area of Smart Grid. In the attached file you will find information about EnerNEx and the team they have assigned to Ivy Tech to develop this

project. We know that having their experience/knowledge transferred to our instructors will give SG 101 a great deal of market credibility.

For an overview of what Module 1 of Smart Grid 101 will entail please see below.

Thanks. Sherm

If you would, please begin to think about identifying one or two potential instructors from your Region to deliver Module 1: Smart Grid Overview, which will be the first component of our Smart Grid 101 series. The 2 hour Overview module will cover the areas of: Terminology What is Smart Gridnot just the impact on their utility but a national scope How does Smart Grid impact TRANSMISSION/DISTRIBUTION How does SG impact their specific job area: customer Service, Engineering, Operations, IT/Communications

We have had discussions with another potential SME to assist us in building SG 101. If things move forward according to plan we should begin to conduct an instructor training session in mid-August and begin to deliver Module 1 in September to incumbent utility workers via WED.

The instructor training session will be a 1-2 day event, most likely conducted in Indianapolis. Details will be developed.
