Summarize the myth about Pandora.


Zeus was mad at Prometheus for giving people fire so he made a beautiful woman named Pandora and sent her to
marry Prometheus’ brother, Epimetheus. Zeus also sent Pandora with a box and gave Epimetheus the key and was
told never to open the box. Pandora wanted to see what was in the box so she opened it one day and out came a
lot of bad things. Along with all of the bad things in the box, Zeus also sent Hope to help people with all of the
bad things.

Whose temple did Medusa and her boyfriend enter at the beginning of the myth? Medusa and her boyfriend entered
the temple of Athena.

What did Medusa have on her head instead of hair? Athena turned Medusa’s hair into snakes instead of hair.

What happened if you looked at Medusa? If you were to look at Medusa or her sisters, you would turn to a stone
statue.

Who wrote the play Medea? The Greek poet, Euripides wrote the play Medea.

Why was Medea mad at Jason? Medea was mad at Jason because she had killed her brother to save Jason and he
was going to marry Creusa.

What was Medea’s chariot covered in at the end of the myth? Mesea’s chariot was covered in dragons at the end of
the myth.

Who gave Cassandra her gift? Apollo gave Cassandra her gift.
What was Cassandra’s gift? Cassandra’s gift was to see prophecies, see the future, but she made Apollo mad and so
he changed her gift to still be able to see prophecies, but made it so no one ever believed her.

The story begins with Silenus, a satyr, half man, half goat, who follows Dionysus the god of Wine.

When King Midas learned that there was a satyr sleeping in the rose garden, he ordered that he be given a bed in the
palace until he felt better.

And no one was more pleased about this show of hospitality than Dionysus, because in his eyes, anyone who
honored Silenus, honored Dionysus.

But this was not what he had expected. He was holding not his daughter in his arms, but a cold, still statue.

But Midas emerged from the waters free of his wish for riches and gold. And as long as he lived, he rejoiced in all
that was riches and gold.

What were the directions Prince Theseus was given by Princess Ariadne? Ariadne told Thesrus to hide the sword
and ball of string in the maze and when the door was locked behind them he was to tie the string to the door and
unroll it as he moved through the maze. That way he could find he was back again.

How much was the ferry ride? The ferry ride cost was one Greek coin.

her living family to take care of them by offering them food and wine at special times of the year.
