Advanced Road Design 2008 Evaluation Installation & Licensing

License Key
The license key to operate the evaluation version of Advanced Road Design 2008 is: EVAL-ARD

Installation
When you insert the Advanced Road Design 2008 CD, it should automatically show a page that offers the option to begin installing the software. If this page does not show, then navigate to the CD contents using Windows Explorer and click on index.html. Both the program and the licensing system will install to your local hard drive. Make sure you have administrative rights when you install the software! After it has finished, you will be taken to a web page to authorise your software.

If the webpage has automatically loaded, you should be directed to a page that looks like this:

You will need to enter in your details to proceed with the authorisation. You can then skip to the final page of this guide.

NOTE: If the authorisation page does not load after a few seconds of finishing your installation, please go to http://www.cadapps.com.au/73.html and answer the questions to get to the evaluation authorisation page (Advanced Road Design 2008 -> Evaluation). You should see a page like this:

You will then need to enter in your computer name, MAC address and your licence key. You will need to take some steps to determine the values you will need to enter. To find out your computer name and MAC address, complete the following steps: Turn off all wireless network connections you may have. This will ensure you choose the correct MAC address for this authorisation process. Go to C:\Program Files\CADApps (or wherever you installed the software) and then into the FlexLM directory. There, you should see a file called LMTools.exe. Run this file. You should see a screen like this:

Go to the System Settings tab.

Your computer name and MAC address (called Ethernet Address in LMTools) will be listed in the highlighted fields. Enter these, along with your licence key, to proceed to the screen where you will enter your personal details (the screen shown at the very top of this guide, where your name and address are entered). NOTE: Do NOT include the quotation marks when inputting the MAC address of the computer!

Once this has been done, you should see some screens like the following:

You can also make a copy of your licence file from this page and put it into a file called cadapps.lic. A copy will have been emailed to you from info@cadapps.com.au to the address you provided. You will need to place the you have either copied or received via email in the FlexLM directory. By default, this is C:\Program Files\CADApps\FlexLM. Once you have put the file in the correct directory you will need to restart your computer in order to activate the new licence file. Once you have done this, everything will now be in place for you to continue using Advanced Road Design 2008.
