Introduction This report gives a detail overview of principal of management. This report is divided into four sections. In the first section, it gives information about the management process which is Planning, Organizing, Leading and controlling. This management process plays an important role in organization success. This function is essential for organization if they want to improve the efficiency and effectiveness. In the second section, it tells the importance of team management and effective communication in achieving the organizational goals. Both of these factors play a vital role in the achieving the organizational goals. In third section, it explains that how the ethical behavior and social responsibility improve the effectiveness of organization. In the last section, it states the importance of leadership in organizational success. All these section are part of management and contribute to the organizational success.

Management Process Question #1 Explain the Importance of planning, organization, leading and controlling in an organization? Sol# 1 There are four important function of management which organization performs. They are Planning, Organizing, Leading and Controlling. These functions play an important role in the performance of organization and helps in achieving the goals. These functions also help in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of work (Management Functions).

Planning Planning is the first function of management. In this phase, organizations set the objective and develop the action plan in order to achieve those objectives. It is very important phase of organization because the whole process dependent on the planning. For a manager, it should plan the futures based upon the environmental and internal condition of organization. There are several steps of planning phase. It is important for the manager to do environmental analysis before making the plans. Environmental analysis consists of economics, customers, and competitors analysis. The main goal of planning phase is to understand and forecast the future.

In this phase, planner must develop the object which he wants to achieve in the future and plan of action which helps in achieving those objectives. An important thing for the planner is, he must develop the alternative plans. In last, it is important for planner to measure the success rate of plans and take corrective action if necessary (Planning) Strategic Planning It is plans which developed by the top hierarchy of organization. In this planning, it involves the external and internal analysis of organization. In the external analysis, planner studies the opportunity and threats of the organization whereas the internal analysis includes the strength and weakness of organization. Based on this analysis, manager understand situation of market and know how to position the organization where it can compete effectively in the market. The time frame of strategic planning is long term or more than three years. In strategic planning includes the objectives, mission statement and vision. This set the direction of organizations. Tactical Planning Tactical planning is developed by the middle managers. It is intermediate range planning often 1-3 years. This plan alters according to the environment and condition of market. Operational Planning Operational planning is developed by the operational managers. These plans are short term and changes rapidly. These plans help the strategic and tactic plans to achieve the objective of organization. Organizing The second function of management is organize. It includes the allocation of human resources and organizational structure which helps in achieves the organizational goals. The organizational

structure gives the framework of organization and represented by the organizational chart. Any decisions made about the organizational structure are referred as organizational decisions. Organizing also includes the job design of individuals in an organization. The decision about the responsibilities and duties of individual also come under the organizing (Organizing ) Leading In the leading phase, it involves the informal and social source of influences that people use to inspire action taken by others. Leadership plays important role in the organization. If the manager is an effective leadership skill, the employees under him will be enthusiastic about achieving the organizational goals. The management and behavior science studied this and understand the importance of this function in the efficiency and effectiveness of management. A lot of study has been done on the personality and job attitude Controlling Controlling phase of management includes the performance of employees should not deviated from the standards. The performance of employees should meet the standards set by the top hierarchy. Controlling phase consist of three phase which are Developed the performance standards of organization Comparison of actual performance of employees against the standards Take the corrective actions if necessary

Performance standard can be in term of monetary (such as profit, cost, revenue etc.) and in term of stated (such as numbers of defective products, unit produced etc.). There are different ways by which organization measure the performance of employees. Managers from all the

level are engaged in this phase in order to measure the performance of their department or employees.

Importance of Team Management and Effective Communication Question # 2 Explain the importance of team management and communication in achieving the organizational goals? Soltuion#2 Importance of team Management Team works is defined as different member are jointly working tighter in achieving some goal. An effective teams work helps the organization to achieve to their goals. There are numbers of benefits which help the organization through the team work. Some of those advantages are given below (Team Management) Team work help in getting the better performance and results for the organization. In a team, every member put his effort for the success. The weakness of one member is covered by the other member. This helps in achieving the goal set by organization. One of the big advantages of team work is brainstorming. In brain storming session, team finds a lot of creative ideas which helps in solving the problems Team work helps the individuals to raise their self-esteem. This gives a feeling to every member of group that is important and valuable asset for the team. This increase the motivation level and confidence in the member which leads in high productivity. When members of team help and support each other, this increase the trust among the group member. Such environment of team can achieve high performance and productivity for the organization.

A good team can achieve higher output more than the desire level. An efficient team can enhance its decision making process which leads in achieving the organizational objective

Importance of Communication Effective Communication plays an important role in term of development of product, employees management and customer relations in an organization. As, it is not realistic approach to build human relationship without the communication. However, for good relationship or successful business it is important to have efficient relationship. Effective communication is required at every part of business. Increase in Productivity By efficient communication with employees give experience suggestion. By implementing those suggestions help the organization to increase the productivity at lower cost. For Manager- Employee Relationship Effective communication reduces the barriers between the employees and manger. This helps the organization about the ideas and thoughts of employees. A manager cannot do the work from the employees unless the message is communicated. Mostly the problem arises with the managers and employees are due to the lack of communication.

Ethical Behavior and Social Responsibility Question # 3 How ethical behavior and social responsibility contribute to the effectiveness of management?

Sol # 3 Ethics of organization is how it response ethically to the external and internal issues. Organizational Cultural plays an important role in the organizational culture. There are four major elements that help in creating the ethical culture and behavior of employees. These elements are A written ethical codes standards Training of ethics for managers, executives and employees Confidential system of reporting Situational advice for the ethical situational

In order to increase the effectiveness, organization can improve the ethical behavior of employees. There are number of ways of doing so. Firstly, organization develops a written code of ethics which everyone has to follow. Secondly, organization provides the training to the employees and performs the evaluation which tells whether everyone is following or not. Another ways is, offers incentives to those employees which show the good ethical behavior (Importance of Ethics). Social Responsibility is the concept in which it tells that organization should focus on more than just profit. Social Problems (such as hunger, poverty), environmental protection are different aspect of social responsibility. Social Responsibility of business comes from the ethical standards. These factors directly influence the effectiveness of business.

Role of Leadership Question # 4 Why effective leadership is important for the organizational success at least 3 reasons?

Sol # 4 Effective leadership is very important for any organization or Government sectors. Leadership plays an important role in the success of organization. They transform the potential into the reality. Leadership skills are key skill which set the direction of organization. It a mindset that companies compete each other on the bases of their product but in actual reality they are competing more of their leader than the products.

Efficient leaders are key human resource in the organization and contribute the majority portion of success in the organization. Organization uses team work for realizing organization goals. So, in order to accomplish the goals, team should have the leader which influence the team members and ensure to achieve goals.

Decision Making Effective leadership allows the decision marking among the group. He involves the members of group in the decision making. This helps in making creative thinking among the group. The leader also improve the decision making process by making the decision fast. This ultimately positively affects the organization performance. So leadership improve the decision making process. Flow of Communication Effective communication is very important for the success of organization. By efficient communication with employees give experience suggestion and idea. Effective communication reduces the barriers between the employees and leaders. A leader cannot do the work from the employees unless the message is communicated. Mostly the problem arises with the leaders and employees are due to the lack of communication

Standard set
Leaders are the role model of organization. They set the standards which other employees have to achieve. For a leader, they have to set a standard for their employee which employees can achievable. Leaders plays an important role in the motivating the employees to increase their efficiency and meet the set standards. These factors improves the efficiency of the organization and increase the chances of success rate .

Conclusion This report helped us in understand the important of organizational management and how different factors of management assist in achieving the organizational goals. The management process which is: planning, leading, organizing and leading. The management process helps the organization in achieving the organizational goals. Team Management and Effective communication plays an essential role in organization effectiveness and efficiency. Organizational efficiency emphasized on the ethical behavior and social responsibility in recent years. In the last, leadership is very important part in organizational success. The entire factor above mention plays vital input for achieving the organizational success.
