Effective January 2014, there will be a new SSS Contribution Table so everyone including employers, employees, self-employed, voluntary members and OFWs must know the latest contribution table. Ive been to the SSS office two days ago to pay the current quarters premiums and as usual to submit R3 reports. The very kind and accommodating employee reminded me about next years change of SSS contributions schedule. I asked a copy of the complete schedule for employers, employee, self-employed, OFWs and voluntary members as well. So here I am sharing them to everyone. Thought to share the latest SSS Contribution table 2014 here. It will be very helpful if you print it out especially if youre an employer so you can update your employees contributions earlier and not rush doing it at the exact time of your payment. I also advise voluntary members, OFWs and self-employed to know the update and check the new amounts from the table to avoid payment errors. By the way, all members of SSS including employers are now required to have an SSS online account. Apparently, the Social Security System is aiming to make everything online now which is great I think. Eventually, we dont need to go to the SSS to transact or inquire about our account. There are features on the online account such as viewing premiums, static information, and employment history download that are now working. I hope other features for employers like uploading R3 will be working soon too. Ive been trying to do the uploading manually online but the system causes errors. I asked that to the SSS too and they said, it would work in the future. If you want to view and check your SSS account online, we have the ultimate guide here: How to View and Check SSS Contributions Online

Marifel Dungo says November 25, 2013 at 9:56 am You can have tentative computation by going to the SSS branch which handles your account. If you want to maximize your contributions, check the SSS table and if youre decided, you can update your account at the SSS. Cheers! Reply

November 25, 2013 at 2:07 pm It is so bad,SSS always raise the monthy contribution but not the range of compensation. Reply

Guest says November 28, 2013 at 2:23 am Agree. Its so unfortunate that the salary credit is only up to 16k from 15k previously. Imagine what value 40% of 16k will hold upon retirement decades from now. What a scary thought. The big difference here vs GSIS is the employee contribution, w/c is approx 30% I think vs 50% in GSIS. With this setup, what employer would want to shoulder the 70% share of about 10% of your salary? Not that many.. Dont even get me started on the SSS board members feeling of entitlement to huge bonuses.. Ugh.. Reply

Adah says December 2, 2013 at 10:01 am It is not one of their main concern. Ang compensation po natin ay nakasalalay sa ibang ahensya ng Gobyerno kahit masaklap na walang Government increase this year nasa ER nyo naman po kung mag increase sila at kung karapat dapat po tayong ma increasan.. ^_^ Reply
