Cindys passion for life, education, students, athletics and FUN was evident to all that knew her. Her smile and laughter was infectious and no one loved life as much as Cindy. Shortys presence was always felt when with family and friends and Tunes by Top 40 Shorty livened up countless parties. Cindy was a teacher, coach and athletic director for close to 25 years in Lansing. During her time she worked tirelessly to be an advocate for all students and truly left a lasting impression on many, many students and staff. The golf outing is a way to celebrate Cindys life and her contributions to so many. All of the proceeds from the golf outing will be used to fund her memorial scholarship and continue Cindys legacy of providing educational opportunities for athletes at Lansing Everett High School. Shorty was an outstanding athlete in her own right. When her basketball and softball playing days were over, Cindy took up other activities such as boating, snowmobiling and golf. Cindy was working hard to improve her golf game but the most important part of golf to her was the time spent with friends in the Wheatfield Valley Club House. We sincerely hope you will be able to join us on the 21st to not only raise money for the memorial scholarship but as Cindy would want- for smiles, laughter, tunes, Bud Light and FUN!
